Ok so there are a few things going on with my quilt. I bought my longarm because of my bad shoulder. Well after finishing the quilt (posting a better picture below) I realized it would look better quilted by hand. Problem #2 I discovered my quilt frame that my mom and dad made for me years ago was left outside. Sanding and refinishing them. While working on the frames I discovered that my mom had stamped her initials and the year she made the frame for me. That hit me kind of hard. So…Continue
After seeing pics of the jelly roll rugs that have become the rage around the country, I decided to sign up for a class at one of my LQS to make one. It was such a fun class although part of the project is very tedious. Rather than use a jelly roll I decided to cut up my own scraps in to 2-1/2" strips. Plus I had lots of left over cotton batting so I cut my own strips of that as well. Of course I have enough 2-1/2" strips to make 10 more rugs if I so choose, but at least I made some dent…Continue

Some of you may know this quilt as a broken star. I am renaming it the quilt I will never ever, ever, ever make again ever. Almost got the borders finished. 2 more strips of white to sew to the top and bottom then another round of the brown border and call it done. Ok so that makes the top and it still has to be quilted.
