The days may seem long but the weeks and months fly by. So many changes have happened in my life. My dear hubby needs more and more care. Keeps me busy. Not as much time for quilting these days but I still get some things done. Working on quilting a string quilt. I love picking out fabric, deciding on a pattern and piecing however the quilting part is not my favourite part. I even enjoy the quiet sitting down and hand stitching the binding down, more. I have a pile of these beautifully worked Dreden Plates that will finish at 16". They were appliqued to muslin feed sacks. Some of the muslin still has faint printing on them. It is quite sturdy (if I can use that as a descriptor) muslin. The blocks are a little musty and smudged from storage and time. Before I trimmed them, some had the old seam holes from where they were stitched into sacks in their previous life. I bought them on ebay at a shamefully low price, so I don't know…Continue
This is what I decided to do with the baby quilt - mostly because of fabric availability and crunch time. I appreciated all who commented and gave suggestions. I made notes for next time. I think it would have looked nice with a dark border as well. I was using up scraps and made do with what I had.

I went online to check out quilt classes at the local quilt shop....it has been a longgggg time since I have taken a class. They want $65 for a two hour class plus the cost of pattern and fabric. This is by a licensed instructor...what does that mean??? Is that the going cost now? Geez...
