My Christmas quilt. Last year the top hung on the quilt rack for show during the season, this year the quilt will be on my son's bed when he and his wife visit for Christmas. You can not tell from the picture but each square has a poinsettia quilted in the center, embellished with sequins and beads. This was my…Continue
My dgs Billy turned 13 yesterday & he loves his zig zag quilt. I asked him to hold it up so I could get a pic of it, but it took me 3 tries before I found one I thought would work. Then when I uploaded it to my computer I discovered he had crossed his eyes! The gals on the Machine Embroidery Buddies group talked me in…Continue
Well, ok maybe not quite yet, but it is at my LA studio, without the snow of course. I currently have 13 quilts waiting to be quilted and one on the frame. Most of them are for Christmas gifts. All of my customers are very good about making appointments for their Christmas quilts.

The only ones relaxing during the last few days of this holiday were the dogs! …Continue
The quilt for Habitat for Humanity's Overall Ball fundraiser is coming along. I finished putting the blocks together with sashing, corner stones and a border.
This involved a consult with Janet and another one with Julie, as we were trying to get by with fabrics on hand. I was scrambling, but managed…
Since I don't have a quilt to show, I thought I'd share my day's work yesterday. My 2 youngest sons and I picked plums from our loaded plum tree last weekend. After giving away as many of those gems as we could, I still had a bounty of fruit. I loaded up on sugar, pectin and 4 1/2 cup containers and ended up with this. I now have Christmas gifts for co-workers and neighbors! I'll be glad in December that I spent the time doing this!…Continue
