Birthday cards

Posted by June Johnson/Wi on July 2, 2015 at 5:50pm 1 Comment

My b.d. was a month ago but was looking at my cards before I put them away.  Two of them were especially funny!

First one on front was photo from the 50's of 2 elderly ladies standing in front of the car with caption:  "You and me...We're gonna be friends until we're old and senile!"

Inside of card:"...and then we'll be NEW friends.  How great is that?!"

Second one is a little lengthy but hilarious:

While shopping for a birthday card, I made the mistake of…

The apartment is now available to move in.

Posted by Irene Gallway on July 1, 2015 at 5:00am 12 Comments

The move is on. I have to make all the curtains first.  Don't want to feel like I'm in a fish bowl.  Yesterday I went into Canada and ordered two new sewing machine cabinets.  This one is too big and won't fit the space where my sewing room will go.  I will sell this one.  The same place is making my new cabinets that made this one.  They do a great job and the price is more reasonable then going to a sewing store (which we don't have)   I made a design of what I want.  They will deliver…

Sudoku quilt #2

Posted by Jodi Cramer on June 27, 2015 at 7:44pm 16 Comments

This quilt is based on a Sudoku puzzle and is the second one I have made. I am tying the first one now so it is taking longer. I think they are a lot of fun and I am always tempted to start another one even though I have piles of UFOs begging to be worked on. In a Sudoku quilt (or puzzle) the same single fabric (or number) may not appear twice in the same row, column or in any of the nine blocks. The first photo is the back; the second is the front of the quilt.…

My poor grandson

Posted by Janet/MO on June 25, 2015 at 7:55pm 13 Comments

My youngest grandson is 10 yrs old (will be 11 in Sept.)  He is a kid who has never really had a fear of anything (not always such a good thing), but due to that he has loved to ride motorized scooters since he was little bitty.  Last yr he took his own birthday money & bought a nice one for himself to the tune of $115.00.  The other day he was at a skate park in Las Vegas and he fell over while riding it.  Three teenagers came up & pretended to help him get up.  Instead of helping…
