having a nostalgic lookback kind of day. in keeping with that i am wondering if everyone has a fave ct fabric line? i joined i think 4 years ago and at the time managed to get a jelly roll of jacobean garden and some ends of hearth and home. i would say these are still my faves tho i have bought many samplers and yardages since!!

I have been rather busy, shoveling snow, writing, mopping up mud, so I thought I'd take a break and work on the mystery quilt pattern for the next book. I usually design the thing, break it down and then pretend I don't know what it is supposed to look like. (that part is shockingly easy for me--short term memory loss)

If you have batting pokies you have the batting wrong side up.you need the smooth side down.it's hard to tell sometimes.thread pokies,well,sometimes you need to change the check spring.that is the spring inside the tension mechinisom.the one with the hook on it.
I think spring peeked around the corner today. Temp was about 55 this afternoon (normal is 30); now at 10:30 p.m. it is still 40 above. A week ago it was minus 23. What a difference; 75 degrees. We still have about 2 feet of snow on the ground but is melting daily. The melting snow and ice kept pouring off the roof all day; better than the leaks we had in house the last 3 days.
