On April 14 I posted that I was waiting for breast biopsy report. Had biopsy of both breasts. Left side shows DCIS stage 0 (ductal carcinoma in situ); cancer is contained in mammary duct and has not spread at all. Right side was negative for cancer. The next day I saw OB/GYN doctor for vaginal bleeding; she did a biopsy of uterus which showed early endometrial cancer grade one of the uterus. Sometimes when it rains it pours. My friend Lynn & I went to an open house today put on by Renee' Nanneman. She has her own company called Need'l Love. She designs fabrics for Andover and is also a pattern designer. She has a lovely studio on one of the shores of the Lake of the Ozarks. I met her a few yrs ago and then eventually she taught a workshop & gave a trunk show to my guild last year. I just posted three new pictures to my page. Two zig zag table runners made out of charm packs and my GGD.s quilt. The table runners worked up fast but I have been over a year getting Melodies quilt done.
I have been cleaning closets today and had to sit down for awhile so thought I would post the pictures while I'm resting. A trip to our local Goodwill store will be coming up soon. Didn't get these jobs done last year due to sickness. We are getting a nice sunny warm day here…Continue
I was looking for an alternative tied quilt option and came across this Decatur Knot.
Is anyone familiar with this method of tying quilts? I was wondering if the knots held. I like the idea of no tails, but I'm a little obsessive about making sure the knots stay tied. It aggravates me to no end to tie a quilt and then have them come out in the wash or loosen up over time. I've taken…Continue
