Hi all -- it's been way too long since I last posted here. It's so nice to see so many 'faces' I know as I scan the posts.
Honestly, I can't remember when I last posted, so some of this may be old stuff but other will be new. I have managed to do some quilting/fiber art over the last several months, but my time is mostly filled with other things of life these days.

This wallhanging is based on a larger one I found in a magazine. I made this to hang in my 7 year old granddaughter's bedroom, at our house. It is a tribute to her mom, our daughter-in-law, who just passed away much too young after her 7 year battle with metastatic breast cancer. She truly knew how to live life in full bloom, and made making memories a priority. We never heard her complain as she fought bravely until she had nothing left to fight with. Even though I should have been spending my time basting an older UFO, I saw this embroidery design & just couldn't resist making it. It is the freeform tablerunner by Sweet Pea Designs. I did the center part on my embroidery machine & then added the borders as I wanted it to be wider than the pattern is. It only took a few hours to make. Seems like my life is always throwing me curves. I finally got my broken arrow quilt top finished with the extra borders. Sorry I don't have a picture of it as it is now packed and going into storage. Almost a year ago My other half injured his back at work. He would work, couldn't work for a few months and L and I of course paid wouldn't pay for his time off.
