As part of my commitment to finishing older UFOs, I looked through the drawers of an entertainment center I have in my sewing room to see what I could find that could be finished fairly quickly. This was a New Year's Eve mystery from 2003 & was supposed to be 4 placemats with a log cabin block on one end & a plain block with an appliqued daisy in a flower pot on the other. My daughter decided 2 years ago to go back to school to get her Associates Degree. She has been a single mother since her 2 boys were very young so it was not always easy to work & go to school, but her dad & I are very proud of her for sticking with it. We are encouraging her to continue on to get at least a 4 yr degree. She will officially graduate on Friday night & her oldest son will graduate from high school on Sunday. We have been busy with opening the lake house. The weather is finally turning to the good. Getting flowers in and feeding the birds!
