I neglected to get pictures of this quilt a year ago when my great-nephew was born.  I'd had the border collie fabric for several years.  It had originally been intended for my nephew's oldest child, but the fabric didn't come in time.  Then he had 2 girls after that, so I just held onto it.  When we knew this little one would be a boy, I decided to dig out the fabric and use it up.

Scrub top Irish Chain baby quilt

The latest baby quilt for my new great-niece: an Irish Chain made completely from fabric from Mom's old scrub tops.  I used to make her shirts/scrub tops that she wore the years she worked.  She was an RT (radiology technologist or x-ray technician).  My niece, who just had her 3rd baby girl, is also an RT.  This new little baby shares a middle name with mom (the great-grandma).  Mom was delighted - with the name and the quilt.

It's going to take awhile for me to catch up on all your blogs. My computer went to the shop a month ago and I just got it back yesterday.  

I have started two quilts, made some progress on a Wall hanging and at the present time cleaning out things I don't need in my sewing room and reorganizing the closet. I also cleaned my bedroom closet and got rid of a bunch of stuff.

70th birthday party

Saturday we had 70+ people over to celebrate DH's 70th. It was a perfect weather day.... plenty of food and sunshine and fellowship. All of my family was there. Feeling blessed. Thought you'd enjoy an updated pic. It is our four kids, two in-laws, and Miss Bailey (8) along with DH and me.

Either later this week or the first of the following DH will start 6 weeks of 5 days a week chemo and radiation. Another new chapter begins....…
