I love a good swap. I would definitely be interested in this. I don't check this discussions often, so please give me time to answer, but would love to do this. Fat quarters, yardage, cut blocks, strips?
I'm interested! Just found you. Let me know more if it's a go. Haven't done this before but it would be a great way to build my stash for a charm quilt I want to make someday. It is difficult to acquire enough different fabrics so that each piece in the quilt is a different fabric. I've always wanted to make a true charm quilt.
Looks like Marnie's swap is full. I would be interested in organizing a fat quarter swap for batiks. I LOVE batiks.
We could do 12. This means you buy 3(or a little more) yards of a batik, cut it into 12 fatquarters (please make sure that they are 18x22 mininmum).
I will send everyone the addresses of the 12 participants. You send 11 and keep one for yourself. You will receive 11 different fat quarters in the mail. Who thought that usps and Canada post could be so much fun.
So if you want to participate, send your address details to me at my regular e-mail which is
I will send the updated address list once I have 12. After 12 I will be sending "regrets, we are full" notices!
If this works o.k. and everyone plays by the "rules", we can do it again and again and..................
Must be a full fat quarter
Must be a good quality fabric, please no "look-alike" prints.
Think that's it.!
Tip~if you lay the fat quarter out flat in a manilla envelope it will go for letter rate. If you fold it up small, it will go as parcel post(more money!).
It will be the very end of September before you get the list (I am going away to the UK next week), so don't panic if you don't hear from me! Go buy fabric!! and send me your address so I can get the list started!!
