Quilt With Us

On my home today, crossing the Golden gate bridge I made a decision that may keep me sane.
I not only cannot start anything new until I finish up 2 things, but, but, I have to get rid of those two black bags of wonderful scraps..... I am going to cut them up in the Bonnie Hunter manner, you know, one and a half inch strips and 2 and a half strips enough to make four quilts and then take all of the rest of the scraps to Legacy, a great shop in Sebastopol that takes fabric, unfinished quilts and great stuff and sells it . The money goes to the Seniors.
I feel so much better. Those scraps have been running my life.
Now, that does not have anything to do with my stash, you know.

Hi Lisa...but what a great way to start somewhere and make a dent and get closer to playing with the big stash sometime in the future (heck! maybe even this summer)! You already have a plan! Strip*cutting both bags of scrap fabric- making the quilts-donating remainder to senior shop.
Decluttering in the process too.
Are you sure you can't use any scraps in your border(s)? Applique something to the backing fabric? Use some bb scraps as backing on the 2 projects? Just 'food for thought'...I'm sure you are WAY AHEAD of me on this brainstorming....good luck and tell me how it goes!

Btw: I think I'd be inspired while crossing the Golden Gate bridge! ;-)
Well, so far I have two large bags stripped up of different sizes. I think I am going to have to break down and buy just two more rollie carts with drawers for lights and one for darks.

I just bought Bonnie Hunter's book and she is a real inspiration. I also bought Freddy Moran's new book thais past weekend. Not enough time in this world to make them all, is there?
