Yesterday, I visited four local quilt shops in the Tucson area.  I was just wondering if you have a favorite Arizona quilt shop.  If so, what is its name, and where is it located.  Also please tell…Continue

I was just wondering how you quilt your quilts.  Do you quilt by hand, domestic sewing machine, personal longarm machine, send them out to be hand quilted, or do you send them out to be quilted by…Continue

I am a long time member of "Quilting With Us" (QWU). I used to give virtual workshops here. Like many others, I have ventured out as QWU became more quiet.

We are getting the warning that QWU is at risk of being disabled. I fear this is a sign that QWU will one day be no more.

It has become like family here and the thought of losing the friendships we have developed has giving me a sad heart. Like many dark clouds, there is a silver lining. When I ventured out, I created a quilters social network, much like QWU. I never mentioned it, for it was a conflict of interest. However, in this dark hour, it is time to let others know there is an alternative. It does not have to end here.

I would be honored for QWU members to join "Pattern Pastiche". If needed, we are more than happy to create a group for your new home.

Hi everyone! I live in CG, closer to Phx than Tucson, but central. I have A big house and could do a meet and greet here. I would love local encouragement and inspiration. Hope I'm not too late.

Hi Karen!  Sorry to hear about your "whirlwind" life, but it just seems like that is just the way of things.  :o)  Don't fret about not getting back sooner.  We understand.  Hope things quiet down for you soon.  Take care.

Hi and I will begin by saying I am sorry for not getting back with you on the meet and greet. My life has been in a whirlwind and things don't appear like I will be making it. Its funny how life happens but it is all good. I will get this planned and organized soon because I would love to meet and share our quilting experiences with all of you.

Hope that Karen gets back to us about the meet-and-greet.  It would be so much fun to get to see everyone.  :o)

It looks like I might be able to make the 10th in Phoenix. Please keep me posted as the plans formalize.

Oh, and BTW, I just spent loads of time going through your web site and blog!!  I even checked out another blog that you mentioned.  I was looking for the directions for the cute pincushion you made that was on that particular blog, but after going through her posts I didn't see it there -- just the beginnings of the pincushion but not directions for it.

OMGoodness Karen!!  I typed a post regarding your comment, and I don't know what happened to it!!!  I guess I didn't click on "Add Comment."  What a goofus!!!

Well, here's a bit of what I said:  I love the idea of a mug rug (or other small item) swap.  They would be very quick and easy to do; especially with the holidays upon us.

Really love the idea of meeting up in Phoenix the weekend of Nov. 10. Late last month Sandy and I were in Phoenix to visit 5 LQSs.  We had a terrific time!  We want to head that way again, and this will be the perfect excuse/reason to do it!!  I will contact her if she doesn't come on here and see that she thinks about it.  I'm pretty sure will be be all in on the fun!  Hope some others might be able to join us, too.  If not, we'll just have to have fun for them, too.  Let us know more details about where you would want to meet up.  Are you going to have a booth at the Holiday Festival?
