Join us for our 2011 Block of the Month! We're making a Calendar Keeper wall hanging along with a detachable decorative block for each month.

Here's how it works...

We'll be making a Calendar Keeper wall hanging and a decorative removable block for each month (12 blocks total). The first Tuesday of each month we'll put up a new 99 cent PDF download of the monthly block design. You'll be making blocks one month ahead, so you have all month to sew, and then the next month you get to enjoy it! Tuesday, February 1 the first download was made available--it was the March block pattern.
You'll want a 12 inch calendar to fit in the Calendar Keeper pocket. The top of the calendar will be folded in the pocket out of sight, so it's perfect for those free business calendars.
Two Connecting Threads staffers will be sewing along with you and posting photos. Teri is making a traditional/country version, and Sue will be sewing a bright/modern version. Now's the time to start thinking about what kind of calendar you want to make. The patterns will work with any style, and they will be designed to use small scraps from your stash. (Of course, we'll also let you know what we used.)
The block patterns will use many different techniques, from applique to basic piecing to paper piecing. Quilters of all skill levels are encouraged! We hope you join us for what should be a fun and stash-busting block of the month.

Hello all. Has the site gone blank?? Haven't seen or heard from anyone in a looonnnnggg time. I'm well and starting the new year with a new attitude..If I like it, I do it, if I don't like it, forget it !!!  my new motto. our guild is planning a quilt show for Nov. 2 and 3 during Hartselle Christmas Open House Days. Merry Christmas, Reba!  Nice to hear from you and hope you are healthy and feeling well to start off the New Year!  I started a new group here on Quilt with Us called Easy Street and is the mystery quilt by Bonnie Hunter.  Very interesting to do blocks and set them aside till the last clue which will show us how to put it all together.  Rather trusting of us to make a quilt that we don't know what it will look like in the end.  Take a peek at it and see if you'd like to join us.

Hello ?? where has everyone gone?? Are you getting all you Christmas quilting gifts ready? I haven't. Got to meet Navy Wife last weekend. I spent Saturday with her in Odenville, Al. at a retreat. She is a wonderful lady and very talented. Enjoyed spending time with her. HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!!!!!!!!!  Reba

Thanks Diana for the compliment on my blocks that were only a year late in getting made....at least this year I have blocks for Nov & Dec lol The calendar was fun to make and use....guess I better get my Oct block on since it is Oct 1.

Thanks Denise. My stomach has stopped absorbing several vitamins and minerals. That what is causing my problem> I eat little meals thru the day to get a certain amount of protein, etc. 

but not sure what will happen with this blood in the urine thing going on now. Pray for me,
