Quilt With Us

Trace the triangle template given in the pattern and cut it out.  Tape it to the backside of a ruler as shown.  This will help you cut the corners on the A and B pieces.

Position the triangle taped on the ruler in the corner of A/B.

Cut the corner off.  You will do this on all As and Bs.

Lay a C in each cut corner of all A/B pieces and sew a 1/4" seam allowance.

Fold all Cs back and press.

Pressing view.

Trace a star for all A/B/C units onto fusible produce and fuse to the wrong side of the star fabric.

Cut all stars out and fuse to the A/B/C units.  Stitch/appliqué down.

Sew all A/B/C units together (according to each row).  I pressed my seams open.

This is a view of the top border.

Sew a D to each end of the border.  Press toward D.

Final view of the top border.  Repeat for the rest of the star border.  D is sewn only to the top and bottom border or the side borders, but not both.  Once these are made you can sew it all together and you're done!

OH I already did these! It must have been on one of my un-focused days when I was supposed to be making chickens! No chickens for me, only kitties!

I haven't sewn them together, but here is a pic of one. Love yours, Mari!
