Marianne--Thank you. Snow Happens is a Bird Brain design. For the other one I used my adaptation of one of the panels from Crabapple Hill's Over the River design. The original design had a horse and sleigh come off the bridge. I eliminated that element and just drew a few lines to keep the design flowing. The patterns are available from various dealers. I got both at Hamel's, a Canadian dealer. Their site list both American and Canadian price. I couldn't find Over the River with my quick search.

Both designers run an online store plus may have an actual store front. Their designs are available from various sources.

Agnes, I have done the same Snow Happens runner in blue as well.  I have a son and his wife who decorate their tree and house in blue at Christmas so I always try to find something to add to it.

I haven't started another embroidery projects since my Over the River Quilt. I have been "healing" lol. I am such a slow stitcher it took forever. I bought the labels that say "This Took Forever" for the back of mine now that it is finished.

Both are gorgeous! One of these days I'm going to get back to my Over the Hill Quilt!

Thanks for the comments. Doing a runner is certainly more manageable than the whole quilt. Since spring 2012 I have made two Over the River and one Vintage Tin quilts. The pieced end pieces were leftovers when I changed the design for a Bird Brain's Snow Happens runner.

What a beautiful project and a great idea if you don't have time to do the whole quilt

That is beautiful.
