Hi Miss Jamee, I try to be active but I get caught up in stuff. Going to post pictures as I, maybe someday, finish my crazy patch blocks/quilts.
is this group still active?
Welcome, Vanessa! You'll have to post a picture of your work. Wow - a king size crazy quilt sounds very ambitious!
It's beautiful, Lillie! I love the silk ribbon embroidery and the soft colors.
Jeanette, can't wait to see your king-sized quilt. Sounds very ambitious!
I'm currently working on a RR with an online group. Three of us are from the USA, 1 from Netherlands, and the other is from Australia.
My first RR was with a different online group and that was tons of fun. I really learned a lot from the other ladies in the RR.
Hi and welcome, I hope we can inspire you and you can help inspire us. I am hoping to post my latest crazy patch, king sized quilt I made for my neighbour and honorary niece who was five when she received it.
Hi Lillie! Unfortunately, this group isn't too active. I am currently working on a small CQ inspired by the works of Brian Haggard. It has 4 blocks, each with an old family photo in the center. What are you working on?
Hello-I'm new to this group, but not new to CQ. I am excited to hear what everyone is doing.
Erin, sounds like you're on the right track with getting your book, embellishments, and fabrics. I've bought grab bags before and also used old bridesmaid dresses, etc. I've also obtained some nice fabric sample books (velvets, linens, etc.) for free from a local decorator store. Crazy quilting is a great way to use all those fancy machine stitches. Personally, I like to embroider by hand. It's a nice way to sit down in the evenings and relax. Here's a website you might enjoy http://pintangle.com/ . The author shows how to do a variety of embroidery stitches. If you click on her CQ details FAQ page, she gives you free 6" block patterns for her features crazy quilt, along with close-ups of her work.
