Tip for this block so you don't have to do a Y seam BG cut 2-3.5" squares
Main fabric cut 2-3.5" squares
Main fabric cut 2- 1.5" squares drawn line, put on corner of BG fabric and sew on line cut a 1/4" seam , put together

This reminded me so much of my grandfather (Gigi) He had one in a dark red with white polka dots that he wore every Sunday, I think my grandmother buried him in it because it was his favorite!

I did this "Bow Tie" the easy way.If I had had measurements to cut by, it would have been even easier.

Pieced it with squares and HST's.
