I love this block, and I wanted to make one for my star sampler, but I am trying to finish a Rolling Star, I need 3 more blocks and I finally got them cut and I put my 2 haalves together and now it doesn't lay flat and I can only think that my seams are not all even...I am going to have to pick out something because I have pieced this block before and it really makes me "mad" that the silly thing doesn't want to lay flat....beautiful block though I really like seeing all the diffeerent colors that all of the ladies are using...have you ever noticed how some people gravitate toward certain colors and you can't seem to move them out of them...
The comment about the colors was not negative, hope I didn't offend anyone, I was just thinking out loud , My friend always picks the soft muted sage, peach, cream kind of colors, My mom thought she needed brown in every quilt but rarely ever used black, and one of my quilt club ladies is afraid of colors that she thinks don't match exactly, but we helped her with a scrap quilt Bow Tie, and she finally got so excited that every block is a different color and all of the bow parts are plaid....She was amazed at how it looked when she started setting it together....In case you couldn't tell scrap quilts are my favorites...a hold over from my childhood, granny and momma would let us "play" in the scrap boxes...
