I am a long time member of "Quilting With Us" (QWU). I used to give virtual workshops here. Like many others, I have ventured out as QWU became more quiet.
We are getting the warning that QWU is at risk of being disabled. I fear this is a sign that QWU will one day be no more.
It has become like family here and the thought of losing the friendships we have developed has giving me a sad heart. Like many dark clouds, there is a silver lining. When I ventured out, I created a quilters social network, much like QWU. I never mentioned it, for it was a conflict of interest. However, in this dark hour, it is time to let others know there is an alternative. It does not have to end here.
I would be honored for QWU members to join "Pattern Pastiche". If needed, we are more than happy to create a group for your new home.

Thanks, Vivian. Good information. I don't think I have another DWR in me at the moment, but I would like to check it out.
If anyone here is still working on (or waiting to start) a DWR, Jo Kramer over at Jo's Country Junction blog is hosting a DWR Quilt Along on Wednesdays (http://www.joscountryjunction.com/double-wedding-ring-quilt-along/).
She is re-making her quilt that is featured in the June 2018 issue of American Patchwork & Quilting (http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/magazines-more/american-patchwork-qui...) but you can work on any DWR project as part of the Quilt Along.
Very nice, Glory! I am in awe of your ability to machine quilt bed-sized quilts on your domestic machine. My hat is off to you. These will be great wedding keepsakes.
Great work Glory! Love the gradient work on the rings on your second one and both are very pretty done in batiks. Are you quilting these by hand or machine and are you using a particular stitch design for the centers?
Nice job on both Glory! Do you have a preference (the old fashioned pieced way or the paper-pieced way?) I did mine with templates (acrylic templates, so not really the "old fashioned" way). I haven't quite mastered paper piecing.
Are these for you or for others? Beautiful colors on both.
Glory, they are both lovely. I am doing he Bali Wedding Star quilt, which is a variation of the wedding ring quilt. It, too, is paper pieced but is taking me forever.
Did not get the comment posted with the picture. Just finished the top below and cannot wait to quilt it. This was my second top and was paper pieced.
