Ruth I did not see your post but found the Blog on FB. They have it started. It is titled EQ7 Jump Start. Print out the first block instructions and plan on working on this as I watch TV at night. It looks like a great way to get started with this program.

Sylvia Mills - i just saw something on EQ7 Blog that might interest you.  They are going to start a New Sew Along for EQ7 starting May 5.  I have had the software for a long time but don't use it so I am going to try to do this.  Sign onto EQ website and under their Blog you should be able to find out about it.

Sylvia, welcome to the group.  I am a very sporadic user and often have to pull out the manual or look up the help tab when I am doing things.  But if you have specific questions hopefully someone here can help you.

I've had EQ7 now for almost 2 years and still can't figure out how to use it!  When I create a quilt, it won't save it and I can't print out any of the paper pieced blocks, rotary cutting chart, etc.  I'm hoping to learn alot from you all.

Thanks Cat Lady after a inter net search I found that most everyone said to plan on making 1/4 of the block ay a time then sew it together also the cutting out of pattern was templates ,this should get interesting  LOL

Ann, when I went in to look at the block in question, I have a feeling that since nothing shows up in the "rotary cutting" selection for printing directions for this block, that it is not expected to be rotary cut, especially since many of the pieces are curved.

You can however use the templates with a rotary cutter.  You just place the template on top of the fabric you want to cut and then cut on the outer cutting line.

If you are wanting to know what size pieces to start with, plan it the same way you would if you were paper foundation piecing the block.
