Welcome Vanessa to the EQ group.

We sure have been quiet lately.  I am afraid I have not been on EQ in ages.  Just not enough time in a day to get any sewing done, let alone designing or drafting a quilt.  I will probably need to start all over with the basic instructions when I get back to it.

Thanks Cat Lady - good to see so many friends here. I just got EQ7 after using my landscape design CAD program to design my quilts to scale. It took way too long so I finally broke down & bought EQ which I had wanted for quite awhile. I'm new to this program, but it looks pretty user friendly, but I can use all the tips, tricks & support I can get!

Thanks Cat Lady. As a novice EQ user, I look forward to gleaning some tips and tricks from this group. I only recently purchased EQ7 but have not really had time to play with it - project with deadline getting in the way.

I agree with you that quilt pattern is screaming to be made.

For the Decatur County Fair, the Fair Board buys the fabric, and gives it to those who want to enter.   Only stipulation on the block is that it must finish at 12 inches (12 and a half before sewn into a quilt) and it can't be set on point.    The the blocks are judged at this year's fair.   The blocks are then assembled and quilted, and it is auctioned at the following year's fair.   All of the proceeds go back into the treasury of the Fair Board, to help  with the expenses of future fairs.     I told them I would make two blocks, so was trying to audition some and see how they might turn out.   I love the way these move together.   I think I have to make the quilt.

That is an awesome pattern. Boy do I need to find the time to get on EQ and play. We also have a contest at our county fair. They pick out one block every year and this year it may be the 4 patch.
