Debbie,  I am not proficient, have just read the manual and found your answer, but you will want to play around with it for awhile.   First you have to have a stencil added to your sketchbook.   Then you have to be working on your quilt, and on layer 3.   You click the icon to add a block, go to the stencil tab in the sketchbook, but you have to use "shift T" to drag the stencil from the sketchbook to your quilt.

I was wondering how you get stencils to show up on your quilt on the EQ7?
