ok I'm hooked since seeing the half inch hexie quilt I want to make one. Any suggestions on how to baste such a tiny hexagon?

I would suppose like any other size! I am doing 3/4 inch and I regret it because it takes forever to build up to a decent size.

my fav is 1 inch next fav 3/4

I've got a bunch of 7/8 inch hexes basted but, I'm not sure what pattern I want to do with them. They are all made from scraps of other projects. I do know what to do with the 1/2 inch ones I saw a star and flower quilt that I want to try.

I would love to see the star and flower pattern. Do you have a link to the pattern.

I don't have a link I just saw it while i was playing around on the computer. I believe if you search EPP patterns that images will come up. just scroll through the pictures thats where i saw it. either bing or google. sorry i can't be more specific.

Leah - The Sewline glue pen is ideal for these smaller EPPs.  I've tried several other glue sticks, but imho this pen is worth its weight in gold!  I'm making a 3/4" hexi quilt currently.  Nearly 75% toward finishing.

Thanks for the info on the sewline. I have one of them and I just love it but I never thought of using it for the hexies. It has to be easier than the applique pins that i'm currently using. I also love the purple diamonds. I am making 7/8 inch hexies also.

my favorite is the one inch next fav is 3/4

Under 1" is too tiny for basting - use glue stick. No worries, papers come out easy with tweezers :)

Last month, I bought the Fiskars 1/2 inch hexagon puncher.  I was surprised how small it is. Thinking twice about a project with this size.
