Diane: Aren't doggies the best!!! I can't believe i waited 60 years to get myself a puppy. He's changed me forever. He's also changed many things I own, for instance my leather bound daily planner (yes I still use paper) which now has a corner chewed off the cover, and my pens and pencils which all have teeth marks. He's nine pounds of love, so I understand the ggggggggggggggg's.

You're very, very welcome Diane! So happy to hear you're home! Who knows, your creativity may flourish while you're on the morphine! lol! Take it easy and drop us a note occasionally to let us know how your recovery is coming along.

Hi ladies, I am pleased to say that I am HOME!!!! I still have 5 weeks of recuperating ahead of me and months of physio BUT I am home.
Thankyou so much to all of yoy that have sent squares. I am sorry to say that I have not kept track of all the names. My drugged state wouldn't let me focus for long. But I was able to focus on the beauty and the glorious feel of each one. If you think my little town thinks I'm nuts try imagining the nursing staff as I opened the envelopes and took out squares of material!bggggggggggggggggggggggggg
I was going to wipe out the 'g' but I thought you would have a good laugh to know that it was my dogs nose that did it. Since I've come home he will not leave my lap. Good thing he only ways 5 pounds!
A very special thank you To Vicki. Your parcel arrived, I have never used those shapes before so now you have really challenged me!It will be a little while before I think my brain will be drug free and clear to attempt them. I am still on morphine 3 times a day. But I was on it every 2 hours so I am doing better!
Have a great day everyone.

I received my fabric squares from Diane yesterday and they were well worth the wait. Also nice to know that she felt well enough to get them in the mail, with a short note included.

I want to thank everyone for the squares - I love them all! I've been off line for a while due to work and dealing with a 17 year old with a kidney stone lodged in the tube from her kidney to bladder. She will be going into the hospital tomorrow to have it broken up. I guess it has been longer than I thought since the last time I was on - catching up on the posts this morning I just learned that Diane was injured. Diane - my wishes for a very speedy recovery! We've had "happy drugs" in my house, too, recently - but I don't like my daughter having to use them so much! That stone has caused her immense pain though, so it was good we had some of those, but hopefully it will be gone soon!

Please don't give up on me! I do have the squares cut but I just need some time to address all the envelopes. I especially feel bad now that it looks like Diane is going to get hers out before I do and she's been in the hospital AND knocked out with drugs. It makes me look REALLY bad!

Diane! It's soooo nice to hear from you....dontcha love those Happy Drugs! Very smart to stay away from sharp objects! I can't believe you left the hospital "just" to cut our charm squares :) !!!
MaryAgnes is right, hospital or State hospital LOL!
Peggy Comment by Peggy on November 2, 2009 at 10:45am
Diane what a nice surprise to hear you are recovering. I agree with everyone about the squares. We were all just hoping you are back to good health soon. Keep us informed when you can.
MaryAgnes/NYC Comment by MaryAgnes/NYC on November 2, 2009 at 5:25am
Diane: A day pass? Sure you're in a hospital and not a "state:" hospital? Is there something we don't know? I do know it's great to hear from you. And Vicki and Cindy are right--don't worry about the squares, unless, of course, it will help in your recovery. Then send as many as you want. But be sure to use those little plastic kindergarten scissors.

What a great surprise to see your post! I'm sure I speak for the entire group when I say please don't give a second thought to sending out your squares!! Just concentrate on recovering.
