The last of our projects is this wonderful
Comfort Pillow! Very quickly sewn, I think it took me an hours from cutting to stuffing and sewing up the opening! Love it! Hey, this pattern is free and on our website under the tab "free patterns".

Here's the next project.... Bundle Up Door Banner from the book
Folk Art Favorites! Its soooo cute! MaryJo made this for you and here's what she said about it: This banner was such fun to make, it's from the book, Folk Art Favorites! And to be able to use my very own
Snow Days fabrics, made it even more special!

Here's our next project! It's an ornament from
Merry & Bright. This book offers 9 ornament designs. I made mine from wool and embellished it with beads. It was VERY fast! Enjoy!

It's a Double Hitter this week!

Here's a goodie from Katie. This mask is from
Pretty Little Presents and I made it for Joel. He has trouble sleeping with the light on, so I thought he’d really get some use out of it.
Since it had to be more masculine than the one in the book, I got rid of the sheep and used a charcoal grey wool that was leftover from a laptop case I made for him. The trim is an antique-looking map of france; that fabric was also leftover from the laptop case.
The lining is a super soft organic terrycloth. I also enlarged the pattern (just by hand, not on a copier, so I don’t know how much bigger it actually is – maybe 40% larger?) and made the elastic longer. Katie

Here's our first project for November from Laraine!
These mug cozies are from the book
I Believe and are quite fun! They went together quickly but the embellishing did take some time. I used my machine to do the blanket stitching and finding buttons that matched was the most challenging.
Our
Snow Days collection seemed to be the perfect choice for the Snowmen Cozy. I made my own carrot noses out of Fimo and the snowmen themselves are batting. For the Joy Cozy I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and do something with brighter colors than I would normally pick.
My biggest hint would be to measure your mug and adjust the pattern to fit the mug you plan to use. The instructions state these fit 10 ½ “ straight sided mugs but so many mugs today are bigger. I think it would be pretty easy to just make the wrap part a little longer to fit on fatter mugs.
These would make a great gift with some hot chocolate and a candy cane stuck in the mug. Hope you give them a try and have fun!
