RanchMom ~ We'll keep you company! I don't want you to be lonely. I can't wait to see what you make but GET SOME SLEEP! I'm grouch today too. By Fridays I'm really dragging. I stay up too late, get up too early and go too much during the day! Not a good combination I tell'ya!

Peg that is a beautiful memory quilt, I hope your DD appreciates what you have done for them.

Mary Agnes the hen house is heated and waiting for you all to come and visit. Some times it is very lonely here in the country.
I need to get busy sewing so I can share with you what I have been doing, but I can not get motivated today. Stayed up to late last night cutting out pears and partridges. I need more then two hours sleep and I am kind of grumpy when I do not get it. oh well, I'd better get busy, lots to do maybe I will set the timer and hide at my machine until it goes off.

Peg ~ Awesome quilt! What a wonderful quilt and I'm sure treasured memory. I do hope they appreciate what you have done for them! Very thoughtful!

Mary Agnes ~ I wonder....... I bet you do a lot of mail order. I knew prices were higher on the East Coast but didn't know how much. Sounds exorbitant!

The photo quilt of DD's wedding is finished! The colors I used are those from the bridal party and the table accents at the reception. The penguin in the corner is because Ryan is into computer animation and working on a penguin cartoon series. They had a penguin on their wedding invites also. There are a couple m

ranchmom: You don't have to miss us. Just say the word and we'll all move into the hen house. It is heated, isn't it?

Froggie: You're right. Getting through the Holland Tunnel has on occasion taken an hour and a half. Usually outbound on Fridays and inbound on Sundays.

Mari: Tx for keeping us going. And I agree. As a NYer I HATE paying full price for anything. Of course things here start off so much higher than the rest of the world that our discounted prices are probably still higher than most other places. And then I moved to Alaska! Talk about high prices.

RanchMom ~ I LOVE hearing about your trips and living in the country! It's like something out of a lovely book. I have always wanted to live in the country but seem to end up in the city. Oh, well. I can empthize with your commute though. That would get old very fast. I bet it sure makes being in town a treat though! Can't wait to see what you made!

Linda ~ you are a riot! I just can't imagine needing only 2 hours of sleep. Well, we are all unique that's for sure! I think about that and all I can imagine is what I would do with all that extra time! Wow, i would really get a lot done! I'd be ready for Christmas by July! Yes, I'm very happy we can keep Gifty going. I think we'll do just what you suggested. That is, focus on special holidays coming up as we are celebrators and MUST have our "special" days for gifting! Wahoo!

Paula ~ Yay!!! Love it when those orders come! My friend Judy purchased a backing for her baby quilt at a local fabric store. (Yes, we do shop other places besides CT) I was with her and it was 1-1/2 yds. It cost her $15! I wasn't paying attention and when the clerk said $15 I said WHAT!!! Are you sure that's right? Its just a small piece of fabric! I'm so use to our $6 per yard it was a shock to hear that. I was expecting her to say $9. LOL!!! Poor Judy, I probably embarrassed her.

my ct order came today, I love the material and the thread. I also received the pretty little presents book. I can't wait to start sewing. Dear friends of ours lost their mom, instead of sewing I will be cooking for the funeral over the weekend. Then cooking again on thursday for turkey day. Perhaps I will get in the sewing room next weekend. This weekend I also have 2 of my grandsons, they can be a handful! Any way life is good.
