We are using the book, Fast, Fun, and More Gifty. It is compiled and written especially for us! Our newest Gifty book is the best ever for preparing a gift-giving extravaganza. There are even MORE small and quick projects. Hey, you'll be able to use the projects in this book all year long!

Get ready… prepare your sewing space, oil the machine, and finish up any UFOs because you’re going to be busy! I challenge you to keep up with us!

  1. Time frame is from July 18th - December 19th, 2016 for the weekly projects.
  2. Please post all project questions on Notions where you will find the complete blog. All information is kept together there for reference later and It's much easier to find!

Melissa~That is a standard for Viking machines, it's their hope that you will love the machine and just want one with more bells and whistles. (The key is to save the receipt, and ALL the packaging that came with the machine in order to get the upgrade!) The great thing about Vikings, they last forever and you can ALWAYS get parts, feet, etc. for them! If you go to the Husquvarna/Viking website you can also get all kinds of support there.

The Viking Dealer said that If I want to upgrade the viking to an embrodiery machine I have a year, and they will give me a discount of the MSRP of what I paid on the sewing viking. Is this true? or was that alot of Hubba??

Ranchmom ~ don't feel bad, everyone is getting messages from themselves including us here at CT!!! Its a Ning bug and they are working on it. I thought it would be resolved by now but, no. Its unfortunately out of our hands.

Froggie, I think pretty floral wall paper will add alot to the hen house, maybe I could send my DH to help you husband.

I keep getting messages from myself also but then for me that is not unusual, I am known to be a little crazy at times.

Melissa I really like my Viking it has been a good machine I have had it 19 years and I have done alot of sewing on it. I still use it for alot of different things. I have my machines set up so that I just turn my chair around to switch machines for me this has been very handy.

yes I was looking to see if I can find a fairly used (unused) Viking. I hate to spend so much money then in 2 years the machine is worthless. :( Like my janome, I orig paid 500 now I can get 100 if I am lucky

Oh Melissa, is it too much information? I guess you just need to figure out what you're going to use it for and go from there. Used machines are a-plenty too and run just as fine as new if not better. I got my first new machine a couple of years ago. I've always had used machines and they were fine.

For Melissa - I have a Brother PE 400D which also does embroidery. I call it my "little brother" and take to quilt guild and workshops, because its so lightweight. I've never had any problems with it. I am thinking of trading up to a PE 700II which also has a USB port, so I can interact with my laptop for design work. I also use a Bernina Activa 230 for my sewing and piecing and a Voyageur 17 from Hinterberg which I use for long arm quilting. I also use a Singer serger. I love sewing and quilting and all my machines. Patricia in Springstead, WI
