Welcome to Gifty Galore 2016!

Our new Gifty Galore Christmas project season begins July 18th this year and runs through December 19th! And, Anita is back with more wonderful designers!

We are using the book, Fast, Fun, and More Gifty. It is compiled and written especially for us! Our newest Gifty book is the best ever for preparing a gift-giving extravaganza. There are even MORE small and quick projects. Hey, you'll be able to use the projects in this book all year long!

Get ready… prepare your sewing space, oil the machine, and finish up any UFOs because you’re going to be busy! I challenge you to keep up with us!

  1. Time frame is from July 18th - December 19th, 2016 for the weekly projects.
  2. Please post all project questions on Notions where you will find the complete blog. All information is kept together there for reference later and It's much easier to find!
  3. You can join at any time. If you are not a member of our Quilt With Us Community, click the "Signup and Join" box in the upper-right corner. Ladies I hope you realize we are making history here. The next generation of quilters will learn not only FQ, HST, D9P and all those other abbreviations but now they have ABC and NBC to contend with. I can understand your suggestion to use NBC gum MaryAgnes, but don't you think ABC adds a "personal touch"?

I think the heat has gotten to all of you. Just put NBC gum in the kit. ABC would get too dried out to stick to anything, except the paper it's wrapped in. But never been chewed gum gets chewed to the sticky state and gets immediately stuck to the sock where it dries and adheres forever.

CACKLE!!! I'll have to ask Froggie if her supply is ready!? (double CACKLE!)

Oh, when we make the quilted socks we can put ABC gum in the kit!!! Oh, I better tell Froggie, she has to get busy! I can just see her now chewing away ...............

See....there's a new product for the next catalog....ABC gum. About how much do you think that will sell for, Mari? And how will you attractively display that for the picture?

Boy, did I ever fall for that one!

(It did make me snicker though!)

Quilted socks sound like a good idea to me. But what is ABC gum? Is it gum shaped like ABC's?
Comment by Mari/WA on June 9, 2010 at 1:31pm
Oh, ABC gum.......... can you chew it?
Comment by Linda Froggie Quilter (Okla) on June 9, 2010 at 1:29pm
Oh yeah, no pieced socks, that's why you are a pattern designer and I am not, Mari. If you cant find that glue stuff, just use ABC gum. I bet it would keep anyone from slipping. OK Mari, you are now officially tasked with coming up with a pattern for quilt socks. OK now it sounds like slippers to me. Oh well, don't tell anyone, and they will buy them anyway.
