Lynne and Jenni - I love your bags! I am anxious to try them in other fabrics. It was fun to see what you made.

Jenni - Your aprons are so cute! I can see why you can't stop making them!

Good Morning Everyone!  I haven't had time to read all the posts yet but you all were very busy!!!  I'm glad to be back though and am looking forward to reading about what you have all been up to.  Wow, lots to catch up on here as well.  Too late to make bets Mary Agnes.....  I'm here....

Good Monday Morning Everyone!  Hot enough for you?

Great bag, Jennie.  It certainly does lend itself to PINK and I'm sure Sandy and Gayle will be able to work out the pattern, especially because if they have any questions we can answer them.

Lou Ann:  Glad you're getting back to usual (I'd say normal, but I think we decided on our last virtual trip that term doesn't really apply).

Want to take bets on when Mari returns to work?

Hey Everyone, I didn't get to sew yesterday, visitors in and out most of the day.  Mom came down for awhile and then my special little neighbor and her Mom and baby brother.

Lou Ann so happy to hear that you got some sewing done.  Please be careful though.

Jennie, I love your bag it turned out so cute.  I really want to make one.  I think I'll give it a try.

The doll clothes that I'm making are for a 15" doll.  She looks like Tinker Bell but I'm not sure as she has no clothes or identifing (sp?) marks.  I'm reducing a pattern for my American Girl dolls and using it.  I haven't made Barbie clothes in a few years.  I will try to get photos when I'm finished.

I really have to start forcing myself to sew at night, I have the hardest time sitting down at the machine after the sun sets.

Take care everyone, be safe.

Great to hear you were able to be in the sewing room, Lou Ann. I'd think it would be too hard to bind a large quilt with those ouchy ribs. Maybe you could teach your DH to do it...

Hope everyone is staying cool or warm - whichever is appropriate for ya, Take care.

Good morning all! I even did some sewing this weekend, and it didn't hurt. It's very tiring, so I didn't do as much as I wanted to do. I put all of my Mystery blocks together, but in a wider by long way, am not going to put any borders, so am now ready to bind. Since it seemed like a big project at the time, I downloaded some CDs to the computer and got 2 more projects ready to go - growth charts for the little GKs and my Goose Tracks next to the last blocks. Didn't start either - I know my limits.

I didn't get that book either, but it sure is cute.  Love yours Jennie, very pretty fabric! If my older GKs were HS age, I'd make some, but they have all graduated. Just the little ones now, oldest of them is 3 and the only girl is 3 mos.

Same here Gayle - it is sweet isn't it? I wonder if we can work out a simple pattern ourselves. I think I prefer small projects to large ones - I am trying to quilt a community quilt and it is so hard to do.

I'm beginning to wish that I had ordered that book.  I just have so many and so little storage space that I didn't order it.

Jennie, cute bags!

Jennie, Great bag!  I love the colors.  I used whatever was laying on my cutting table at the time.  I need to give it more thought when I make them for gifts for Christmas.

The pattern for the purse is in the Bags, Pillows and More book.  It is pretty straightforward.  And the webbing is used INSIDE the strap instead of a softer strap that would result if you used quilt batting.  Either would do though.
