Self portraits! How funny, you crack me up, ranchmom! I love that you call going to town 'going to the valley', it sounds like such a nice place to go. I would like to spend some time at the ranch, hiding and sewing.
Yes, Mari, she says she only 'requires' two hours of sleep a night. Ever. Once she had surgery, and was sleeping a lot, like during the day and stuff. Every time she woke up, she would ask her DH what day it was. For her, sleep 2 hours, it's a new day. But she asked him that about 5 times, so he circled the day on the calendar and handed it to her! I love that Karen is going to let us keep our gifty galore. We can make some Valentine's presents, anniversary presents, St. Patrick's Day presents....
Yeah, it will be all good. And throw some snowmen in there every month or so for ranchmom.
Anne, are you setting your timer for 1 hour again? Yeah, that worked sooooo well last time. Set it, it goes off, ignore it. I love it.
Yeah, MaryAgnes, it probably takes you two hours to get OUT of town, right?
My latest CT order was mailed today, yippee! I am glad it was sent, the credit card company noticed suspicious activity, and called DH or e mailed him or something. There were things getting charged to our card all over the nation! And on the day I placed an order with CT! DH was talking to the lady on the phone, they were figuring out what charges were ours, and she said CT, he said, Oh yeah, she orders from there all the time. Whew! At least he pays attention! He couldda said, CT, never heard of it, it's a scam. Then I would be in trouble with Mari and Karen! Yikes. Anyway, we will have a new credit card coming soon. Just in time for another CT order!
Hoppy quilting!

Hi, I just got back from town, DH could not go with me so I didn't get any sewing done. I did go to the quilt shop and do some shopping, oh now I am broke and have more sewing to do for christmas. I really need to get busy now. I love days like today when I can spend time shopping somewhere besides a implement dealer (tractor store) or a feed store. I will post pictures of my purchases as I get them made.
Darlene I love living in the country but I do not like the distance when I need to go to town. We do have a little town where the high school is that is 35 miles from home, but their is no real stores, a gas station, a couple of resterants and two small convenience type stores ( very expensive) so drive the 2 hours to town or the valley as the local people say. I try to stock up on things so that if the weather gets bad We do not go to town but luckily this year so far it has been mild with only a few snowy days. The roads were good today.

i can relate to the long distance to shop. I live in a rural area. It is a 1 hour drive to a small town but over 2 hours to a city where we have better shopping. The price we pay for enjoying the country. LOL We are well into winter in my 'neck of the woods'.

Everyone ~ I will have one more project for you Monday and then we'll be done unveiling new projects in this Quilt Along until the new year. From the week after next until Christmas we'll be sharing all our finished projects and goodies and of course chatting. This Quilt Along will remain active but we'll pare down the amount of projects we'll be unveiling for the first half of 2010. Then, we'll resume our "normal" activity again along about the time we need to get busy for next year's Christmas season! Wahoo!

Froggie, well they are self portraits.

well everyone I need to get to work have lots of sewing and house work to do today and I may have to go to town and that always blows the day. 2hours there and 2 hours home for 15 minutes at the bank and feed store. Well if DH goes with me at least I can hand sew in the car.

Nanny ~ the card holder is in the August discussion. It is called the Unforgetable Card Holders and is in Pretty Little Presents.

Froggie ~ YOUR FRIEND GETS 2 HOURS OF SLEEP A DAY????? Oh, my, gosh! How can she do that? I need 8 but get about 6 or 7. That poor girl!

Anne ~ Keep plugging away at it like you are and you'll get it done by Christmas! Wow, you're really doing great!

Mari, Please remind me where to get the instructions for the card holder in photo # 8 above. I know I have seen them, but cannot remember where.

RANCHMOM! You mean to tell me that is not pics of you and your DH? I am sooooo shocked! Snowmen? Did anyone else know that was snowmen?
WOW, Nanny Gayle, I have a friend at work that sleeps about 2 hours a night. And that's it. And when she comes in and says she didn't sleep, that is exactly what she means, zero sleep. I don't know how some people do that. People at work don't believe her, and they look at me like I have witnessed her lack of sleep. So I just say, I believe anything she tells me. She only sleeps two hours.
Anne, It's good to hear your computer is cured. You set the timer for 1 hour, you crack me up. Silly Anne.
Oh, it's time to go watch Nova. I was just coaxed to the living room by DH with Nova and peanut butter and crackers.
Hoppy quilting!
