I guess my quilt studio is a Therapy Workshop also. I go there for attitude adjustments!

Hey Linda - I'm happy to help you with your fabric smell addiction! :)

Oh, I remember the smell of the memeograph paper. My mom was a secretary at a church, and in the summer I would go to work with her and help print the sunday programs and the monthly newsletter. I haven't thought of that in years! What does hot fresh fabric smell like? I think Diane is right, both of us have been affected by the smells. I need to be affected by something right now, because I haven't been in my Therapy Studio since sometime Monday. I think. Maybe Sunday. I really need some Therapy. I have a friend at work that is going to be a Grampa any day now, and I bought some Beatles fabric months ago to make a baby quilt for his grandbaby. He is a huge Beatles fan, and I thought he would enjoy cuddling under his quilt telling his grandson about the Fab Four! I seriously have to get busy on that.
Maybe this weekend.
Happy quilting!

Linda ~ I remember the smell of the library! OMG, I loved that smell! Also, the smell of memograph paper hot off the press! In college and art classes I took a lot of classes in etching. I LOVED the smell of the ink paste! It was awesome. Now that I'm at CT again, when I come into work everyday and get off the elevator I get a whaft of the smell of fresh, hot off the bolt fabric. I LOVE that smell too! Now, I have that fabric smell in my "Therapy Studio" everytime I head upstairs! Now you know how much fabric I have up there! Hee, hee! Thanks Karen! I LOVE that term! I'm gonna use it from now on!

Therapy Studio, I like that. Remember how the library smelled? The school library always had a distinct smell. Not that I ever spent much time in there studying or researching! I think pea soup in the pressure cooker would be a huge mess if it explodes. I can't imagine, never saw one explode. I guess my Mom taught me well on that one. My brain doesn't work well early in the morning, either, but I get up early and come in anyway! Just to see what kind of trouble I can start. Today is food day here, I am eating the best chicken salad sammich on a croissant that I ever had! Sheila put lots of good stuff in there, celery, purple grapes, apple, pecan. Oh, and some chicken! I will have a bite for all of you, now that I made you hungry. And yes, we started eating lunch at 10:30AM local time.
Has anyone started on their July project?
Happy quilting!

Ok gals, now how am I to get anything done at my B&B or in my "Therapy Studio" aka sewing room if you all keep this up? I just don't want to miss out & I don't want to find out later tonight what has been going on. Now I do sound like I'm back in the 70's around the library table at school. Heaven forbid you had to go to the bathroom & miss the break around the table. I have got to go clean so don't get too carried away today! Have a fun & happy day!
