Here's a pic of the little wallhanging I finished. It's a flip and sew type project with woner under applique.

Ooh ick.. I would not tolerate sustained 100's, Lynne. Be careful and stay cool. Wish we could average all the temps out and everybody could have just what they want but bein human I would find something else to complain about probably.

Loretta, I hope you get to feeling better. It's really hard to be positive when you don't have the energy but you seem to be doing it. Good for you.

Bet you can find some Christmas Batiks, Froggie. That'd be cool.

I run 100 degrees all the time!  Icicles would be nice about now.  I have been working on a couple of projects patiently (not) wating for Tuesday.  I was hoping my CT order would make it here on Friday, but no luck there either.  So I am making a sunflower wallhanging.  Yesterday I did the week 5 blocks from Hoopsisters and it took me forever to get through them.  But they are done and now all I need is week 6 to complete the mystery.

Gee Sandy, Icicles!!  We have been running in the 100 degree range since the end of March I think and I could go for a few icicles.

This Aussie is waiting patiently too but  feeling the cold. I cannot imagine your heat - we are expecting a horrendous cold front - gee that brings up some crazy pictures to my mind! Icicles on!!!!

Under a heat advisory again today.

Mari your snow person is really cute. I can see the little ones having fun with those pockets.

So are we going to beat Mari with a wet FQ .. actually that might really hurt so better not. The waiit gives me time to get a few more projects done. Finished a little wall hanging today - need to work on my QOV quilt- think I can get it all put together today.

Stay comfy everybody.

I was hoping I was going to get on here earlier today to bug Mari, because I only have a few of the books and if she says the first project is out of one of the books I don't have, well what's the fun in that, then I have to order the book and find fabric and I'll start out way behind everyone yet again. :(  Sorry guys, it was worth a shot!!!  Gotta control myself to one book at a time every two weeks at the most, this being laid up puts a damper on the funds!  We'll see what happens...Maybe I will get lucky and the first 4 projects will be out of my books LOL.  Everyone have a fantastic Holiday weekend.

I am happy to say that I have visited the PNW three times and on two of those visits I have made it a point of visiting CT!  I know what my priorities are.  LOL

Yes, DD was really happy with it, she loves batik, so that made it even better. I think I will have to make her more things for CHristmas from batiks, Barbara. I bet Mari and CT will be able to help me with that. I can't wait to see all the new fabrics and patterns, Mari. Keep it up! I just love it all.

Mari, why did I leave the PNW? It was at least 100 here today. Yuck. And we were stupid enough to spend it outside working on the fence! Yuck.

Lynne, I thought we might trick Mari this year, but she knows us too well by now. We won't tell, just hsare your secrets with us, Mari! Cackle! Break you? Who, us? Maybe we can torture Mari with a FQ torture method. THen she will talk and tell us everything.

I didn't even get into the quilting room today, that's very sad. I gotta do better than that tomorrow!

Oh Mari, I am so proud of you for being so hard to break.  I bet the F.B.I. would like to use you for a spy because if the enemy captures you they know that you won't tell. lol

OK, I just went to the LQS for some fat quarters for a sunflower wallhanging that I want to make, so that will keep me busy over the weekend.  Like I don't have enough stuff started to keep me busy over the weekend!

Lynne......  CACKLE!  We have been doing this for three years now and y'all try the same thing on me every year.....  my response is the same every year too..... first I feel sad for you, then I start talking myself into giving you something cuz I feel bad and then I think.....  no Mari, don't let them break you!  It will put a damper on all the fun when it starts!  So, I know you have just a small time to wait but.....  YOU CAN DO IT LYNNE!  YAY LYNNE!
