Welcome all new members!  Just to let you know that our "season" will begin in June so clean up your sewing areas, oil your machines and finish up any "must get done" projects.  The books/patterns will be posted first week of June and we'll begin projects first week of July.  That gives everyone plenty of time to order the book/patterns they want and supplies so that they arrive in plenty of time before we begin.  WELCOME!

Good Morn'in Everyone!  Hey, its 7 am in the PNW and no posts yet?  I bet you're all have your sewing machines a buzz'in don't ya???  ;-}

Well, its a late morn'in for me ~ just needed a few more winks of sleep.  You know, it gets that way towards the end of the week.  Hope y'all have a fantastic Thursday!!!  I LOVE Thursdays.......

All book, project and whatever suggestions are appreciated!  You bet!  Went through a whole stack of books just now and there were three possibilities ~ two very strong.  You see, my rule is this........  there MUST be several strong projects in the book before buying it.  That's my personal rule so the book must be exceptional before I use it on Gifty.  I want my money's worth from any book I buy.  We do have some very strong contenders now, however, not as many as last year.

Hello Everyone!

What a day!  I feel as though I didn't stop talking from 9 am until 4:30.  Thank goodness I can stop now.  Wish I had a nice whiskey in the office to sooth the sore throat, but a diet pepsi will have to do.

NYC is really a great place, weather-wise.  It gets cold and hot but not to the extremes of other places, and windy but no tornadoes (knock wood) and snowy and rainy but we need it once in a while.  Lots to complain about, but not the weather.

Mari:  Should we be giving you suggestions of books?  projects?  whatever?

Out little town got hit w/ a tornado last week, thankfully no one was hurt.  A few businesses north of town had some damage.  I really try to be happy and grateful most of the time, but its that time of the month & its rainy. Two negatives and I'm not sure I'm strong enough to overcome them together!  I'm ready for the list of books Mari!!

Lou Ann, I imagine when all you have is ripped away from you and you don't have any choice but "adjust" to having nothing, nothing is not so bad.  I had an experience where I lost everything too but now I have replaced the "necessaries" and feel freed from the burden of so much "stuff".

Froggie, I want to see your pic of "goodies"!  And, the book list will be out in June.  Many companies hold off on releasing their new books because of market in May.  I don't want to miss on any oppertunities so I'm holding out for books from market!!!  Yes, this weekend might be weird but, I'll take it!

I forgot another thing...

Nice weekend in the PNW in April? That's just weird.

Oh wow, weather is crazy, isn't it? It's still raining here, kinda cold, too. It feels more like March than April to me.

Mari, I have to show you a pic of my stuff my sis made me for my birthday. The pic is on the computer at home. She made me a crochet'ed mug rug, from fabric, and a chocolate sundae pin cushion, and a nice bag from all civil war fabric! Oh and a cool sign that says - You sew girl! I will show you later, they are very gifty gifts!

I know what you mean LouAnn about trying to save some stuff.I lost everything in a house fire but the insurance people told me I could take whatever I wanted to clean up.I did take some stuff and some cleaned up well and some didn't.I still have a couple of boxes in the garage that I haven't looked at yet.Guess I will just throw them out one of these days.
