We are using the book, Fast, Fun, and More Gifty. It is compiled and written especially for us! Our newest Gifty book is the best ever for preparing a gift-giving extravaganza. There are even MORE small and quick projects. Hey, you'll be able to use the projects in this book all year long!

Get ready… prepare your sewing space, oil the machine, and finish up any UFOs because you’re going to be busy! I challenge you to keep up with us!

  1. Time frame is from July 18th - December 19th, 2016 for the weekly projects.
  2. Please post all project questions on Notions where you will find the complete blog. All information is kept together there for reference later and It's much easier to find!

Mari: I didn't change my name to Mary Agnes; years ago I changed it to Mary A (I had a roommate at the time who was Mary Elizabeth, so she became Mary B). For years I dropped Agnes which my mother gave me because her mother was Mary Agnes and my father's mother was Agnes (and my uncle married an Agnes and named his boats {but not his daughters} Aggie I and Aggie II). I've always used the middle initial but Mary Agnes sounds like a name for a nun. Only now in my later years have I started using Agnes. I kinda like MaryAgnes (one word) better than Mary Agnes and both better than Sister Mary Agnes. Enough already!!

Hi Mari, As most of you know my husband is a Greek, born on an island that still has no automobiles. The Greek pronunciation of the names that we think of as "plain" are beautiful also. It must be that European accent that gets us. Carol (Ca-ro-lena in Greek)

Wow! What a busy group! Good Morning Gifty Galore People!!!!!

Mary ~ you had to change your name to Mary Agness???!!! We get confused easily. Too many Mary's!!! In a former life I vacationed in Italy and at that time they were have their Miss Italia contest on TV. It was interesting to hear the pronunciations of all their names and one that struck me and to this day remember is Agnes. It was beautiful!!! I will try and spell it phonetically...... Ah-gha-neese. Another was Pamela. It was pronounced as Pa-mella with the accent on "mella". Well, that was a bunch of nothing..... I'm glad you did that so we don't get confused. I don't want people whining to you that they didn't get their books! Uh, well, maybe that's not a bad idea. Yeah, that's the ticket!!!!

Carol Lee ~ Yeah, you got your books!!! I expect good things from you now!

Ruth ~ Welcome! I'm soooo happy your going to join us!!!! Yes, Judy is right, we have just begun. Anyway, this group is such that you can really jump in anytime and start the projects!

Francine ~ Uh, oh, you've discovered whining and you enjoy it!!!???? Oh, boy, we're in for it now!!!!!

Linda Mary ~ I do believe you should get that cup cozy for Judy's diaper comment! (It was really funny though!) It cracked me up actually!

Doris ~ Welcome to you too!!! Oh, I'm so happy to joined us too! Oh, you will have so much fun!

Diane ~ Wow, I'm so happy your son is okay AND that you are too! What an experience!!!! Moms just don't get enough credit for what they do for their families!!!! I think if a book was written focusing on experiences like this (which are more numerous than the stars in the sky) our "profession" would be more honored and respected. Diane, you are a saint!!!!!

The mail did not produce any packages from C.T. today.
Went to the local parade. Had Garrett in his wheelchair in front of a pine tree. Within an hour he developred an allergic reaction. Had to give epi-pen and then fight parade traffic to get him to hospital emergency. My sister had to stand out in the middle of the road and stop traffic so we could get through.End results-he is O.K. but can not be near pine trees! He is now home and recoperating nicely. Not a lot of quilting done today.

Welcome Doris! The July projects are posted in the slide show above the comments. You are not behind. Most people are just getting their books and planning their projects. Mari will post August projects Iater. We are just getting started so jump right in!

Ok, I'm in. I took me at least 3 hours to start at the first post and catch up with this group. Sounds like too much fun not to jump in. I hope I am not too far behind. Will be ordering my book tomorrow (because I need to decide what other things to order!). First question, where are photos of projects posted. Going through these posts, I only saw the placements done by Mari, but no one else's projects.

Ok Peg I'm going to wish really hard that you get the books in time for your trip so you can be happy.

No Linda and No Karen. Neither of you can have my mug cozy/diaper. I think I need to keep it since Mari thinks I dribble when I drink.

Oh hi Diane! I didn't expect to see you here for a while or I would talk much kinder about you. I'm glad you get a little time to come visit here or you would be so behind!! Did you get your book?

My books aren't yet either - just checked again. I just want them before Sat. We are driving to visit my oldest DD in Wichita and it's a long, boring drive so I need my books to keep me happy!

Oh also,
With all this info about Catholic school and stuff, I think I have converted. Just call me Linda Agnes. Linda Mary. Oh, that's not nice, but my brain is demented! Please forgive me!
Happy quilting!
