That is so fascinating about Pinwheels/Pin cushions. You were lucky to see the Who Mary Agnes. Dumpsters into swimming pools?! The dumpster use is very creative but I don't think I would want to be in one considering whats gone in them and they're probably stinky too. Do you think they change the water each day? Hum..... Well, I had a great weekend and accomplished little but VERY relaxing. Yum, homemade pastry. Well, that will be going away for me soon.

Good Monday Morning All.

Pincushions used to be called pinballs and were round. Pinwheels are still pincushions, flat and round and the pins go in along the sides.

How do you think he does it? I saw the Who perform Tommy (at least I think it was the Who; I know it was Tommy) at City Center about 35 years ago.

The City is now converting dumpsters into swimming pools and parking them at various spots around the city on weekends. What will they think of next?

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I got quite a bit done on my GFG. I think once the top is done I'll be able to move on to other projects. Gotta go get me something to eat. I'm thinking a homemade pastry. Now why is that I wonder.

Whoa, pincushions used to be called pinwheels? How interesting! Well, considering it literally, it fits. I remember pinballs from the song Pinball Wizards done by the Who? No, I knew about pinballs. Use to play them all the time when I was young, a very long time ago. Love Car Talk ~ comes on radio here on Saturdays around 10 am.

Have a great time Diane!

I'm with ya Pepper. Vacations are awesome!

Yes Kit, where are you Anne????

Yum blueberry pie..... Linda, is there any leftovers?

Oh, Froggieland sounds like a relaxing place to be!!

No cinnamon rolls??? What WERE you thinking, Diane? lol. I love banana nut bread, too.
Oh no, Ranchmom! DH has diabetes too. It's not much fun.
Kit, I don't think they will charge for your DGD that is a doll. You crack me up.
Linda, we don't want to lose our friends here! Our notices have to keep coming.
MaryAgnes, I like pinwheels. Never knew that's what pin cushions used to be called. Ask the pinball wizard about when the pinball machine was invented. He's got such a supple wrist.
Have fun on vacation, Francine! I wish I was goin with ya.
Kit, I LOVE swimming, but 82 is too cold for me. About 5 degrees warmer, please! The girls wont mind, I bet.
I'm glad you are having a good time, Pepper! Permanent vacation sounds like fun.
Yum, I love blueberry pie, Linda!
I worked in the quilting room most of the day. Worked on DD's quilt, then realized DH was still sleeping, so I had nowhere to lay it out. Then I started working on deciding where to hang my design wall. That took a while, but all I have to do now is hang it. Then I will be ready to go. Then, DH and I floated in the pool for a couple of hours. That's about it for froggie land, back to work in the morning.

Diane, I have been here. Came on last night and couldn't believe that no one had posted after me. Francine you have a wonderful trip to LA and then enjoy your camping trip to NY. Marguerite, looking forward to seeing the girls blankets. I take it that this is their quilting course you are giving them - yes? Pepper, isn't it wonderful to be anywhere and still keep in touch. I love it when I go to Thunder Bay and have internet service in the room and can touch base with QWU. Gail, so you still have heat eh? It is a bit warmer here again today but a nice breeze and no humidity. I'll take it. Cannot stand the humidity. Was out picking blueberries today and just put a pie in the oven. It won't be ready for supper but dessert can be later. Have a great evening.

Ranchmom, glad you got the report back on Ranchdad and that you at least know what the problem is. He will adjust-may not like it but he will get used to it. I hope that everyone else is getting used to this heat, I don't go out unless I have to. CUAL

Whoops pressed the button too soon. Anyone heard from Anne? Was she going away for a few days?
Really nice here today. We are going to have pizza for lunch and then the girls are going to clean up where they slept (in my sewing room) and then it is swimming time. The water is 82 degrees.

Talk to you all later. Kit
