Merry Christmas to all ... Do hope that you remember to start to think of all the things to make next year.. having completed 65 ufo's and new projects this year I feel so GOOD!!! I made pictures and each of them and put in a photo album so I could look at and remember all the hard work ... had to clean up my sewing room so company could sleep in there.. so I can't sew anymore to after the holidays.. but I already have a new project started.. It so nice to try to get ahead and with all the great bargains at CT you can do this thanks so much for that...today is our 48 anniversary and we so happy to be here another great year.... talk at you later Kathy of Elizabeth City NC

Glad your DD is on her way Linda. Have a great time with her. I just told my DD's about her trip and they sympathize though my youngest said at least she was stuck in a big airport - not Moline where she was stuck last year with no restaurants, shops etc. I guess there's a good side to everything - lol.
My DSIL is on his way here too. DD has been here a few days but he had to work and couldn't get the days off and was planning to drive up Christmas day. He called this am and said when he got to work his boss said, "Why didn't you tell me you were going to Iowa for Christmas?"
He then told him to go home and get on the road before the weather gets bad. It's nice to see the Christmas spirit alive and well! He should be near Des Moines about now.
We had ice this am but now it's just raining. We got out to get groceries and the girls and DS are making cookies. Of course DS hasn't done any shopping yet so he may be giving late gifts but that's ok - not sure if his GF will agree though :).

Hi Kit, Dutch Apple bread sounds delicious! Can you share the recipe? I think that the Barefoot Contessa baked some cracker cookies once, maybe check on foodnetwork.com. Don't know if they are like yours, but its worth a try.
DD has been making her rounds around the world to get here. Stuck in Chicago last night, this morning took off for Atlanta, then OKC. Wonder if the plane stopped at the North Pole to help Santa out??? Well, she should be here in 30 minutes. I am soooo excited to see her.

Hoppy quilting!

Glad to hear from you Linda Froggie. We surely have missed your funny posts. Aren't GS's the greatest. One of mine is home for the holidays - doesn't go back to school until January. I am supposed to bake with my DGD's, but they haven't come here yet, so I started baking by myself today. Got a couple of small banana nut breads and a couple of small Dutch Apple breads baked for gifts. Wanted to do more, but I had a spill in the refrigerator so had to clean that up. Now I am tired, so thought I'd get online and do some things and try to locate a recipe for cracker cookies that are so good, but I can't find my recipe. Hope you all have a good night. Kit

Hey, I really am innocent, just ask my… no wait, don’t ask anyone, just believe me. I didn’t do it. Diane, all I can say is brrrrrr. I’m glad you are feeling better now. Who can blame you, and what a better place to vent than here? We are here for ya, except of course, for the days that I forget to check in for six days. I bet you thought I was dead. Or lost in the mall. Maybe that’s where Mari is!
Oh Anne, you are a trouper! At least you can drink coffee! Woohoo!
Peg, what cute table runners, how cool to change the pattern around like that. Your sisters will love them.
Francine, we had our credit card number jacked this fall, too. We had to get a new number, they just kept using it.
What a pretty table runner, Kit! I love it.
DD got 20” of snow in Baltimore this weekend. Right now she’s winging her way to Chicago after a huge delay at the Baltimore airport. Cross your fingers that her Chicago flight is delayed so she can make her connection. Bummer if she has to sleep in Chicago tonight. She has problems every Christmas when she comes home.
DGS has been here since Sunday, today we made some Banana Nut Bread, some cookies, and brownies. The cookies and brownies were new recipes for us, and they both are very good. I think I am finished with my shopping, I guess I should look at my list again. Still waiting for some packages to be delivered, I just hope they get here soon. Yesterday DGS and I worked on some ancestor stuff, he has an assignment over the holiday. I have been wanting to do that too, so it got me motivated. I have some info that my Mom got from someone, I have no idea who this woman is, but she’s related somehow, and she had traced back to 1703! Crazy, huh? So, there’s some interesting stuff that DGS can tell and show his teacher. I haven’t gotten much sewing done lately, but have been busy with DGS!
Hoppy quilting!

Merry Christmas everyone! All my kids are home so life is good. We're supposed to get nasty weather over the next few days - rain, freezing rain sleet and snow - so I'm extra glad they are all here already.
I've finished my gifts for this year and am already thinking of future ones thanks to this group. Quilters are the greatest!

What is the name of the video you guys are talking about?

Thanks Anne. I might have missed the video. It's great. Now we know where Mari is--Hollywood!!!

I find I inadvertantly decided to have a Christmas party. I'll be home this year and sent an email to city friends I thought might also be here suggesting they visit and guess what? Lots of people are going to visit. Now I have to figure out what to feed them, and where they can sit. It's always something.

Have a very Merry Christmas, every one.
