Diane ~ for what its worth, I got my shoe pic loaded up yesterday here on Gifty Galore and then went to load it up on the Main page of QWU and it would load the computer language OUTSIDE the text box! I don't know what the heck was going on. I worked on that for hours and just gave up! It was probably another "Ning" issue. Hey, speaking of Ning, we don't get messages on our own postings anymore!!! yeah!!!

That's a great idea Froggie! I have used insulbrite in many a potholder but never in table runners. Its so obvious but totally lost to me. I always keep a certain amount of insulbrite on hand all the time. I'll use if from now on in table runners! Thanks!

I'm sorry Diane. Every time I look at little Angus he makes me chuckle. Thanks for giving us the pic here ~ you're awesome!

MaryAgnes, I thought you WERE talking about me when you mentioned frivolity and mayhem and self indulgence. I wonder if CT is selling those shoes? They should. Or a free pair with every $50.00 order. WOOHOO. Oh I see Diane already thought of that. Well, Mari??? Ask Karen pretty please???
Oh Cheryl, what a wonderful story. I bet your Dad's laughter is in your head now. Sounds like he was a good one.
Mari- Princess Lea? You crack me up. My DD was Princess Lea one year for Halloween, she looked so cool. I should dig out those pics.
I read a groovy hint in a newsletter from a local quilt shop. You ladies may already know this one, but I didn't. The hint is to use 'The Warm and Company’s Insul-Bright' when you make table runners and things like that there. That, and a piece of cotton batting, and your table is saved when you put hot containers of yummy food on your table. I just thought it was groovy, and wanted to share. Of course, we should check to see what CT carries that we can use!
Happy quilting!

Cheryl - that kind of story is worth millions and millions - even after all those years - and Diane thank you for sharing that with us - you brought back similar stories to a few of us .....

Well you all would not believe the day I had....I want to thank you Francine for posting the instructions for me on the pillowcases. I knoew I had seen them on this website. I also watched a lady do a tutorial on them on you-tube. Just could not remember exactly what I needed to do. Thanks again to all who helped me to find the lost instructions.

Cheryl I know how your dad felt. I'm still laughing. My husband is in Ont. and he'll have a fit when he sees him.
Mari you are just NASTY!!!

Cheryl ~ that was a beautiful and VERY funny story! thank you! Diane ~ your pooch is so cute but so pitiful looking. Poor thing. I imagine he feels naked. His ears make him look like a black Princess Lea. Sorry, don't be mad at me.
