  1. Time frame is from July 18th - December 19th, 2016 for the weekly projects.
  2. Please post all project questions on Notions where you will find the complete blog. All information is kept together there for reference later and It's much easier to find!

Mari: You were lucky. I got named after a martyr, so I'm Mary Agnes. (Bet you know the Immaculate Conception had nothing to do with sex or the absence thereof.)

Linda: Count again. I had 16 years of the nuns before Yeshiva!!!

Oddly, one thing I didn't learn from the nuns was to use a needle and thread. Senior year I signed up for home economics and when i got my final schedule home ec was changed to calculus. I taught myself to stitch; I remember absolutely no calculus.

How'd everyone else learn?

Oh, Diane, of course we know you're grateful! Silly! I do think that's cool that Karen can do that. She really knows the system and how it works. I do hope you let us know if you did get it in your first order. Now, Diane, get off the computer and eat a hamburger and some of your sticky buns! Celebrate!

To those of you that think I am ungrateful I sent a personal message to Karen saying thank you. If she was able to do it I will be eternally grateful. Even if she wasn't I will still appreciate her offering to try.

How funny. 12 years of catholic school, then jewish college! You are well-rounded.
Carol-Welcome to the group. Don't leave the group, I bet you have lots of info to share. I bet it's at least as hot there as it is here, I am in OK, and it's been 100 for over a week. Yuck. I am ready to go back to winter for a few days.
I just finished some place mats for DD, I need to post them. She loves them. I told her I want to get her some cobalt blue wine glasses to go with them. They are blue roses. I used a book I got from CT. They were fun to make. I have to get a pic before she takes them back to MD on Monday.
Happy quilting!

Thanks to all of you who answered my questions. When you are 65 you think you know everything, but leave it up to someone else to think of something to solve your problem and prove that you ain't so smart after all! Have a good 4th! Carol

Oh, my, gosh, you are all soooo fun! Thank you Karen, Judy and Laraine for peeking in to answer questions!

Welcome Carol!
I'm glad you're here! Yes, you are correct on both points. Most projects are made from books in stock, however, there is one that is made from a free pattern on line. Most of the projects come from Pretty Little Presents though.

Karen, thanks so much for trying to get Diane's book issue taken care of! Wow, what a boss! You're awesome!

Linda, you have a great 4th also!!! You're right, I didn't act up in class and that's probably why I have a need to do it now!!!!! Ha, ha!

Gayle, believe me, we all want to be the keeper of books. Judy is always teasing us with the new books that come in!!!

~ your name bespeaks CATHOLIC! My Mom named me Marianne in honor of Jesus' Mom and her Mom, St. Anne! So, there ya go! I also had 12 years of Catholic education. It was good though. When I went back to college at 36 I didn't have any catch-up classes to take and I was on the dean's list or president's list every semester so I guess the nuns did a pretty good job, eh? Hope everyone has a great 4th!!!!

Why don't you check out your local library or join a quilt guild and maybe the members will have one of the books and be willing to share.

Hi Carol, you are correct, the patterns aren't included here.

However, this site is intended to give you ideas for quick and easy gifts, and there is no cost to join and no obligation to buy, so you don't have to drop out. You can get ideas here, then look through your own books and patterns, or search the web for free similar versions and get a jump start on the holidays!

Hi Mari, I am new to this group and would like to clarify how I think it works. This site will not have the patterns for the projects on file, but will give us the names of the books they are in, so we can purchase them. Is this correct? If so, I may have to drop out as I am on a fixed income. Carol
