You are all welcome to come any time. We can always keep Mari locked in the hen house if she gets to excited over the cowboys, Diane. I will have the hen house cleaned and waiting for you all to show up. I think I will put on a pot of water for Tea and have the coffee pot ready for ya all. It sure is a lot more fun to sew with friends then alone.

Anne, that is a very cool story about you and Barbara. Especially that you both ended up as quilters, then found each other again! I love it.
So, Ranchmom, the cows go south for the winter? Something like that? I never knew there was so much to raising cows. My sister and her DH had cows for a while, and I remember she had to learn how to give them shots. Ugh. Those chickens sure are pesky, hiding behind our curtains so we can't have chicken soup! They want us to have noodle soup with bland water. Ugh again. We already had a 'virtual' vacation at ranchmom's house, Anne, it was really fun. We should do it again soon, so we can get our gifty Christmas presents all finished! How about it?
Oh, it's time to go get my haircut. Then DH is going to fix some polish sausage for lunch. Yummy.
Hoppy quilting!

Good idea Anne! But she might have to hide some of her handsome cowboys!![from Mari of course!]

Wow! Home on the range...how nice is that. A lot of work, I'm sure -- but, how rewarding. Wouldn't it be fun to have a quilting retreat at ranchmoms home for a week? What a dream is this? Anne

Froggie they need to leave the high country and come down to where we do not get so much snow. Also we feed hay to the cows in the winter usually starting in December if it is a cold snowy winter. This winter we have pasture out for most of the cows until January then we will bring home about 1/2 of them and the rest will stay out on the winter range. These are older cows that have no problems calving all goes well unless we have a lot of snow then they get to come home and eat hay also. The cows are so silly some times they try to come home or go to pastures by themself. We have to watch them all the time. The Cowboys are always riding the range checking on the cows and making sure they are okay.

The chickens were behind those darn curtains I saw them peeking out at me with their beady little eyes. If we make chicken noodle soup I think Mari will have to make it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Diane yes we will hold off on the soup we do not want your husband to get to tired out. I am so glad you are home and can talked to us some and that you are getting stronger each day.

Anne you are a remarkable person, I am glad you joined our group. Do we get to see a picture of Barbara's gift? I am sure she will love it.

I have been busy sewing up a storm, pillow cases for my mom and DS, Aprons for the neighbors gd, pears and partridges for the christmas tree and to add to packages, and finishing the quilting on some ufo's. I will post pictures when I get them taken. Well back to the sewing machine I will talk to ya all later.

Good Morning all..Hi Diane...Hope today is one day better for you, too. And Linda Froggie from Okla. I love reading your msgs...I'm sitting here with a big grin on my face..I can hear you out loud. Love you lady...You know how to keep everyone happy. Yes, Barbara, is a quilter. The first time we reunited, I asked her what her hobbies were. She answered with. Anne you're going to think I'm crazy. But, I just love to quilt?? Linda, I almost fell on the floor...Since then..whenever we get together...the first thing is what have you been stitching lately? She's been a friend since we went to elementary school. I was in her wedding. Then lost touch...while having our families. Came back together 40 years later, about 6 years ago. and now stay intouch weekly. Again...she can't get enough of our quilting. Sorry you asked, huh? Have a great one everybody. Got to check on Door 6 of the 12 weeks of Christmas...wonder what they have in store for us now? Anne from MA

Ranchmom you must have knowm I was going to say 'I thought roundup was used for killing weeds!' I am so not a country person! I am trying though.
Hold off on the soup girls as it might make me have to ust the potty more! My husband can only handle so much these days.
Each day seems to make me a little stronger.
Anne I am sorry to even complain now that I hear what you are facing daily. My prayers go out to you.

I like these new ages. MaryAgnes is 16! And such a great quilter. Anne, I think she must have started quilting when she was 2. I started sewing Barbie clothes at 5, but quilting at 2. That’s amazing!
Oh, ranchmom, sometimes you can’t be dyslexic to save your neck. Oh, that’s what the chickens are trying to do. They heard you say that you are making soup. I bet they are hiding in the coop now. Probably behind those nice curtains we made.
Diane, At least you still have your sense of humor. I cracked up when I thought of you hopping on one foot to the potty. We will send you some chicken soup, that will make things better. Maybe ranchmom will supply the chicken, and Mari will pluck it. She probably wants the feathers for her next project.
MaryAgnes, I love looking at the city lights from planes, I bet seeing Christmas lights was wonderful!
I love Thanksgiving. All you have to do is cook and eat. Except for that one year, instead of eating turkey, I gave birth to a little 6 lb 13 oz turkey. We call her Laura. But that was ages ago, I think maybe 33. Yeah, my turkey of 1976. And she was a bicentennial baby to boot!
Ranchmom, why do you have to bring the cows to a different pasture for winter? Why do they get a summer home and a winter home and I don’t??
Well Howdy, Judith! Welcome to the group. Are we supposed to be making Christmas gifts here? Oh no, I am in trouble now.
Anne, Does Barbara quilt? Or maybe sew? I bet she does.
Mari, you would not believe this, I am almost finished quilting the flip flop quilt. I love vacations when I get to stay home and hide in the quilting room. I think I should be able to finish it tomorrow, then you can see it.
Hoppy quilting!

Thank you Mari. I'm happy to be here with all you great, feeling, fun, friends. I'm waiting for my purchase order to arrive...want to try some of your mug cozies. If I do a good job...They will be given as Christmas Gifts. Looking forward to trying them out. My best friend, Barbara, was here visiting with me today. Wanted to know if I had any patterns for making bowls...??? You can guess, what I'm going to get her for Christmas. I've already given her one of the pears, and a partridge. She gets so excited....More than me. Love Anne
