I think part of that look for Moose was his being exhausted. We had a lot of company yesterday. There were 5 people here getting the whole sofa thing accomplished. Then a friend stopped by for a short visit, then some kids stopped by to play and that always get him going. We plan a lazy day today.
The size difference and the love they share always warms my heart.

I like a light shower Mary.  They're so refreshing to the air.   You are correct, we each have our own ideas of who or what we believe or don't.  I really enjoy the diversity in this group and the open mindedness.

I don't do well with stairs either Barbara.  I probably could have greatly benefited from PT, but I'm getting there and constantly making progress.   Good luck with yours today.

Hey, a peach always helps me.  I crack me up !

Darn,  too bad you can't find another reason for DD1 to stay, but good that she's coming back soon.   The dentist.  Not my favorite place.   WHAT !!  What you need the 2 men and a truck for...……….oh yah, the DGS is moving.  He should be calling them himself.  He's a big boy, have him pull up his big boy pants and make that call.

Wow, what a pretty quilt Mary.  I bet that fun to be making.

My plan today is to work on the cross to see if I can get that finished and in the wash.  Which reminds me,  I have wash to start.  I better get that going.  And I need to do some work in the garden.  I've been pretty laid back so far today, but then again, this time last year my hung-over self would have just been getting out of bed, so being up a 7 and having a lazy morning sure feels good.

It can up for me when I googled Nancy Zieman Block of the Month 2018.  All of her blog posts say "share with a friend"

Don't know why it wouldn't open.  Here's the finished quilt.  If you want to make I can email each month's blocks.

It won't work for me, Thel.  I can't see little cheep. Moose does look sad. I hope he warms up to the new couch soon.

Big quilty hugs and prayers for you and mom, Mary Alice. At least you will know what it is and can fix it. Oh look, Thel wants you to have peach and comfort. That's so sweet. And nice smelling. I crack me up. Thel cracks me up.

I looked for pictures of the Nancy Zieman BOM, Mary, but it seemed locked. I bet I will see pictures later. I have no problem with your beliefs, it's not my place to tell you what you should think, and vice versa.

My knees don't like stairs either, Barbara. Especially down. I just ignore them and take the elevator.

DD1 leaves today. I am sad. I told the doc he should give her a reason to have to stay another week. He couldn't do it. Oh well. I have really enjoyed her. She will be back in September for a week. That's very nice. I need to call my dentist about re-glueing my tooth. gluing. glueing. I don't know. I am obsessed over that drop the e and add ing. Anyway, I need to call my dentist. And I keep forgetting to call two men and a truck.

Good morning.

Prayers are up, Mary Alice. Sorry to hear of her problems.

I have PT this AM. Hope they don't make do the staircase again. My knees don't like that at all.

So glad you found the pattern, Mary. It's a fun one.

Another rainy humid day.  We probably only got .25" of rain yesterday, more showers than rain storms. Suppose to be like this all week.  If I worked and took this as vacation week I'd be ticked.

Thanks Barbara & Thel.  I got the pattern thru Tiger Lily Express, cheaper option for me.

I'm under impression Nancy Zieman & group host a block of the month just about every year. This is 1st one of hers I've done, instructions pretty good. They do have tendency to cut things small so I round up.  Easier to cut 5" sq than a 4 7/8" sq anyways.

I don't pray but hope your mom is feeling better. (you guys have your idea of God, I've got mine) I believe you said she's on anticoagulation meds, so she'd have more bleeding than normal.  Diverticulitis is pretty common as we age.  Scary but treatable.

Lifted your mom and her caregivers up in prayer Mary Alice and prayers for you to have peach and comfort from your worry.   Quilty hugs for you too.

Long day here. Requesting prayers. Spent whole day with mom at hospital. Rectal bleeding. They kept her overnight for observation and to prepare her for colonoscopy tomorrow. They think she has diverticulitis. We'll  know tomorrow.  I'm sure they'll test for cancer too.

Came home to do the soiled laundry. Might have been easier to go buy new mattress pad, sheets, pjs and underwear.  Good night y'all.

I think he'd like his old worn tired sofa back. He looks sad that the old one is gone.
