Has anyone heard an update on Linda Robertson?  I saw her post on facebook yesterday - that she had fallen and broken her elbow in 3 places.  She was expecting to have surgery today.  Please keep her in your prayers.

Happy fall to everyone. In my corner of the NW, our fall colors are slower this year. I love all the blended colors. We have been traveling in our MH, (Motorhome), more this summer that usual. We go to see relatives for birthday parties, graduations from Nursing school and to see my sister in Coeur d'Alene, ID, who is visiting from Texas. I've made several laptops for the girls graduation, baby quilts and another laptop. Winterizing the MH is sad, but in 4 months, we'll be getting it ready for our annual trip to AZ for about 3 months or so. We've had rain for several days and in between, 2 sunny days. Retired Live is Great. So far, no plans of moving to a smaller home, and we've talked about it, but just don't know where we want to move to. Later gals, and have a Great Fall.

Oh Kathy, happy fall to you too.  It is so good to read your post and catch up a little.  I too have been busy....sewing a little, exhibiting at our little county fair, substituting at our local school district - mostly as an aide with the kids with special needs, but sometimes as school secretary or bus monitor.  Next week Jim and I with another couple will be spending the week in Washington D.C.  They are dear friends and every couple years we pick a city and go do the whole "tourist thing".  We've been to New York and Chicago among others but we haven't been to our nation's capitol in 10 years or so.  We have tours scheduled at the capitol, the White House, the Bureau of Engraving where we will be able to see them print paper money (hope they are giving out samples); we will have a nighttime dinner cruise on the Potomac, a "monuments by moonlight" trolley ride, and will tour and see the play "Driving Miss Daisy" at the Ford theater.  Somewhere we want to squeeze in the zoo, National Cathedral, a couple of the Smithsonian buildings, and watch the changing of the guard at Arlington.  Should be a full week.  In late October a bunch of the OH quilters are getting together for the day in Amish Country.  Looks like there will be about 16 of us.  I'll be sure to take pictures and post them here.  What's everyone else up to?

Happy Fall everyone!!..I envy you all with those beautiful trees in your yards, changing colors..how blessed you are!!..here in the desert, we are happy to sit on our patio and stare at a tub of Fall flowers from Lowe's outdoor shop!..at leased it is cooling down a bit....
......we moved again, this time to a Senior Apartment house...all the noise from our daughter's house (theCastle) was too hard on our nerves..she has a zoo of animals that live there...we call our new place the Nest!..because it is so small..but very nice! And quiet!!
.... Anita and I got to get together for frozen yogurt a couple of weeks ago, to catch up!..we, like everyone is so busy now adays!...that is why it was so good to see her!!
......Sewing in this tiny kitchen has been a challenge, so I usually pack up my rolling cart and head for our Senior Game Room..I have been using the poker table to work on ....which is fine, until the men come in and want to shoot pool, and then the sound of the balls makes me jump 2 feet out if my chair..I didn't know that pool was such a noisy game!!
.....but life is good!...and we are not in any hurry to make the world go faster! Between reading, sewing, cooking and naps, retirement doesn't get any better than this!!
.....Please ladies, check in and let us hear from you!!..what have you all been up too?..hugs to all!!..Kathy

Kathy, Sam's did that too!!! I couldn't believe it.  Dale bought a huge pk of loin pork chops two wks ago that was $7.00 +, went back this Sat and the same size was $14.00 +. You really have to be on your toes these days.

I called the Credit Union this morning and I finally had a balance!!! grin...... DH went last night to Lowe's and paid the fence off we bought for the dogs (the last $200.00 of a $3,400.00 balance)  and I phoned in a pmt to Kohls and paid it off.  It felt so good!!

Carol you know you and Jim are welcome here anytime.   Would love to see you both again!! I will pass along your good wishes and prayers to Dale.

Hugs back, Linda.  We've talked about coming your way again sometime in the future.  I feel so blessed that we got to meet up and hope it can happen again sometime.  Tell Dale that we wish him well and pray that he remains in the best of health.

Linda, great news that your DH is doing well!..and the tax stress is finally off of you..we have been there and it is a nightmare to end.
...great to hear that everyone had a lovely Mother's Day!..my Mother's Day dinner is on hold until this Sunday..our markets here decided to raise the price of steak over Mother's Day to $12.99 a pound...outrageous!..now it is back to Low Western Prices..so I get two celebrations..pretty terrific!
...I am still working on Children's Quilts..for Quilts For Kids..I quess this is my calling for right now ..Lord knows!

Carol you have been one busy lady, I went to your page and looked at your pics!!! WOW!! I commented on quite a few but your work is always awesome.  Glad you got to see your dgd and family!!  It was a quiet mothers day but they either called, one stopped by and another took me to dinner on Sat night. It was all good.  Glad you are going good.  Tell Jim, we said hello!!  Dale was hospitalized about 3 months ago with blood clots on his lungs.  The put him on Xeralto indefinitely and he is doing well.  We still don't know what caused them but are believing God they are disolving and he is going to be fit as a fiddle!!  Hugs girlfriend!!

Good to hear from you Linda.  Had a great mother's day.  DS came and manned the grill for a delicious lunch and talked to DD and family.  We'd just seen them the weekend before and had a great visit.  I've been busy subbing in our local school district and working on several new projects - baby quilts, placemats, table topper, etc.  Pics on my page if you want to take a look.

Been putting a quilt together for one of my grandaughters and thought I'd stop by and see if you ladies had good mothers days?  Mine was quiet but they did call or stop by and one took me to Outback for dinner on Sat night!! YUM!!  Love Outback!!  Enjoyed my son's company too!!  Finally got the Income tax paid and hopefully the strain we have been under will begin to lift off of us.  Got several projects in the works, I will post pics as I get them done.  Gods love to all of you!!
