Good evening everyone!!

I am enjoying being a part of this group and I would like to thank everyone for making me feel so welcome!!

Since I joined last week I have been looking for the pictures of the 3 quilts that started this whole addiction 2 1/2 years ago - I finally found them and they are now included in my photos!! they are quilts made out of my husbands jeans and flannel for a contrast. After my husband and son died my cousin made adorable teddy bears out of my husbands shirts and my son Brock's Lucky jeans. The bears out of the Lucky jeans were oh so cute so I decided I needed to make my 3 other kids quilts out of their Dad's jeans as a keepsake. Therefore this addiction called quilting was born!!!

Again thanks for this group!!!

the last 2 quilts I made for 2 nephews wedding gifts are pictured on my page - One is the brown and tan Carpenters Star and the other is Dave & Sheilas quilt made from a jelly roll - blues, burgandys, tans called Fiddlesticks. They both go together very quickly and are close to lap size

Hello Quilters. The big 5 year birthda party for my son is over with for another year. We only had 10 people here, 2 were home because they weren't feeling good, but when you add another 6 people to a usually pretty calm house, it can get hetic. My son actually turns 5 tomorrow, so we'll do alittle more family, just the 4 of us, celebrating tomorrow. He has his big day in preschool tomorrow, then a friend is coming over to play in the afternoon, and the hight light of my husbands day will be going to Chuck E Cheese, boy is he in for a treat, he's never been there before! Of course, there will be a few more presents too.

I haven't hit the sewing room all weekend. Bummer. But I'm hoping maybe tomorrow, will have to see how well the boys play together. I need to finsh another tote bag, then I can clear off the sewing table, cut squares for the friendship quilt, then finish quilting a project that I started on a couple weeks ago. I also need to figure out something to make for a cousin of mine that is getting married in June-gee, that might require going to a fabric store!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Hello Iowa Quilters!!!!!! To everyone who has not signed up for the group quilt project, you have 6 mores days until the deadline. Come on it will be fun!!!!!!!

Also to those who need to get there addresses out to everyone, Rhonda Huggins has given instructions on how to send them, 2 messages below this one. Those of you who need a pattern for the quilt and a copy of the 9 designs let me know, give me your email address and I will send you copies.

I know allot of the ladies already have started cutting out the squares, and some of us have that done already. Good Job Ladies. Soon I will be letting everyone know how many squares to mail, so we are getting so close to beginning the project. I can hardly wait, it is going to be so much fun and interesting to see how many different fabrics we all end up with and most of all seeing the finished quilts everyone makes. Have a great evening everyone. Happy Quilting

Go Rhonda! I thought I was doing good with 100 squares cut!

I'm still trying to find a few addresses myself. There's still a week before the deadline to sign up, and hopefully everyone will post it on their site, or get it to us at their discretion by then or shortly after.

Hi. I just added a couple pictures to my profile - I actually figured out how to do it! The feathered star is the center of a medallion quilt I'm doing as a block of the month with "The Quilt Show". I'm trying to decide which fabric(the purple or green) to use for setting triangles. Any opinions are appreciated. I change my mind each day. Thanks, Peg

Hi all doing the group quilt project. I just posted my address on My Page/My Blog. I hope to reach everyone involved that way.I decided doing it that way was least confusing for me and hopefully for those who still need my address.
