The August UFO Challenge worked for some of us so let's try again! Do you have a UFO that you have been procrastinating on? If you did the August challenge and didn't quite make it or start. Try again in September! Join in if you want to accept the challenge and see if you can accomplish your goal by the end of September. Again, the rules are your own. Let us know what you are going to do and then show your progress. I am going to finish a Mystery Quilt that I started in a class a year ago and haven't touched since. Maybe a written commitment will make you finish it.
I didn't do the August challenge but decided I would try the September one, I plan to finish some placemats I started 2 years ago and never finished they need sandwiched, quilted and binding made and put on. I plan to machine quilt them on my new machine it has an autmatic stippling stitch and I have never used this stitch. I want to have them completed by the end of September.
I didn't do the August challenge either but I'm in for September. I haven't yet decided which UFO but will make myself decide on one by the end of this week.
I'm in, but my goal is somewhat modest. I completed the August challenge hesitated to join the September one. Sept is going to be a very busy one for me and I didn't want to take on something that I wouldn't complete. But then I thought of something. My Row Robin quilt! Here is my tale of woe.
A few years ago the gals at CT did a great Row Robin project (like a round robin) and I LOVE mine, and the top is done, but I made an attempt to machine quilt it on a mid arm machine that badly needed tension adjustment. I kept at it, adjusting as I went and ended up with a disaster! So I need to rip out a bunch of seriously tight machine quilting and haven’t touched since I ripped it off the frame.
My goal is to complete the ripping, then give it to one of our talented quilters to finish for me. And I’m starting with tomorrows TUFO! May the ripping begin!
I'm in for Sept. Ihave a busy month as well, but I have a quilt in my frames that is driving me nuts...I hand quilt and this is a project that I should have finished at least 2 months ago, and My goal is to finish quilting it this week and have it ready to be hemmed by the weekend, and delivered next week...wish me luck...I am quilting an hour today, before I go to my sewing building where I will be hemming my lap robe....have a wonderful day.
I said I would do August but didn't so I'm taking a bold step to agree to do Sept. But I have a quilt to finish by the end of Sept. so I'll accept the challenge. It is the Scrap Oaklahoma Backroads . I hate to do this to myself but I really do need to finish the Log Cabin quilt also. So I'm challenging myself to do both!!!!!! I do work better under pressure.
Congratulations to all of the ladies who did finish their August projects. And a big WELCOME to LILY GRACE!
