Patience is a virtue, but it's the one I have the most trouble with. So I'll start this month's challenge. This month I plan to get my two baby quilts done from September's challenge, which really need to get done because they are for expecting mothers. I would like to get two doll outfits done so I have a few more done for Christmas. I have a small charm quilt that was a ufo basted and ready to be quilted. So that's what I'm planning to get accomplised this month.
I hope that you are feeling better by now. Please take care of yourself, my friend. I am looking forward to seeing those pictures!
My DH gave me a small bottle of hand sanitizer for my purse, and every time I go into a store I check to see if they have the sanitizer wipes and use them! Even though they have the regular flu shots available, I can't take them because they give me the flu....and if I don't take them, I rarely have it.
Well, it's the first day of November and I didn't finish the photo qult for DD. I did finish DH's batik quilt, found the supplies I needed to start learning how to freemotion quilt on my home machine, cut some of the fabric for the purple and yellow scrap UFO and made a lot of progress on the photo quilt. I finished 28 out of the 35 photo blocks needed. If I get a chance to sew this afternoon, I should finish all the blocks (they go fast once the fabric is all cut). October was a good month. With the holdays coming in November and December, I may not get much done on the UFO front.
The kids showed up several hours early on Friday, so I didn't even get to touch any sewing that day. Yesterday, they kids were here with my DH while I left to go to the P3 class at my LQS. I had a fabulous time at the class, made a new friend or two, and got the class block all prepped to hand applique. By the time that I got home, it was time to get the girls ready for trick-or-treating and for me to make us all some dinner, so no sewing last night either. So this project is going to have to roll over to become my November UFO Challenge. lol I'm hoping to finish it in November because I'm starting to get dizzy from all of the rolling over! lol
Trevi - I hope you're feeling better. I know it takes some time to get over it, but take it easy! Thank you everyone for your kind words on Lily's quilt. I just got a pic from the kids with Lily on her new quilt - so glad I got it done - now I want to work on the "fishies" quilt for my SIL and BIL. I'm gonna make a bunch of fishbowls so it should be pretty easy and fun. Hope you all had a great Halloween! Barb
