What this group is about

I don’t know about you, but I have too many things started. Join me in my quest to get finish what I’ve started. The deal is, for every 2 projects I finish, I get to reward myself by starting something new. You can make your own rules, or give the group ideas for new rules as we go. I think it’ll be fun to ask this group for advice on what project to wrap up next, show my progress with photo’s, get motivation from each other when I want to break my own agreement (trust me, I am weak willed when it comes to new projects).

1. No purchase necessary
2. Timeframe: this is an ongoing group with no defined end time.
3. If you are not a member of our Quilt with Us Community yet, click the "Signup and Join" box in the upper-right corner. 4. Post questions, project feedback, and pictures of your progress.

TUFO - means Tuesday UFO - those of us interested try to make a small dent in whatever UFO we are working on. Tuesday is simply the day the Connecting Threads gals get together to sew and craft...you can make it any day you like, but we got a kick out of the title. Once in awhile we can't make it on Tuesday so we move it to Wednesday - yup WUFO. Report here what you are planning to work on, then the next day, let us all know how you did. Nothing is required, it's just for fun.

Good morning from Oregon! I'm visiting my parents - first outing since early March! I spent March and April sewing masks, then May I started and nearly finished a baby quilt (baby is due ANY DAY!). I'm binding it here at my parents so I can ship it this week.

I'm near the capital of Oregon - Salem - and there was even looting and violence there. Portland has an 8pm curfew that was broken last night by a peaceful march. Only a few baddies were there causing trouble.

I hope you are all fairing well during lock down and enjoy peeking out as we slowly get released.

Good morning from UK, everyone has been busy during lockdown, I have finished one quilt and almost got another ready for quilting, they are for my grand daughters as gifts when they go to university.   I hope everyone is safe from the virus and all the women in the riot areas within the USA,  it really looks terrible, makiing the 60s riots small, do take care  everyone..marianne UK

Love the barn quilts Connie.  I am focusing on finishing up some UFO projects that are accumulating in my sewing space.   Finished up a couple of small projects a scrappy baby quilt, and a small xmas table matt.  Now going to quilt a crib quilt I pieced a long time ago.  I did get a bed size quilt top pieced when I got back home and found all the blocks for this project completed and in a box.  So Bonnie HUnter's  Box Kite is completed and awaiting a decision on quilting.  I also have to finish up sandwiching the T shirt quilt for my granddaughter who is going away to college this fall.  I should have enough time to finish that one up.  But even finishing up these projects doesn't seem to make a dent in the pile of UFO's.  But now its a nice day so I am going outside to week the front flower bed...

Thanks, Janet, Connie & Judy!!!   Judy, my first love is probably applique.  I've made 2 quilts very similar to Baltimore Albums, and doing one finishing up one now.  It was an online class with Jeana Kimball, doing all the blocks with applique or hand piecing.  I am  not happy with my hand piecing, so I chose to do 2 on my machine.
