What this group is about

I don’t know about you, but I have too many things started. Join me in my quest to get finish what I’ve started. The deal is, for every 2 projects I finish, I get to reward myself by starting something new. You can make your own rules, or give the group ideas for new rules as we go. I think it’ll be fun to ask this group for advice on what project to wrap up next, show my progress with photo’s, get motivation from each other when I want to break my own agreement (trust me, I am weak willed when it comes to new projects).

1. No purchase necessary
2. Timeframe: this is an ongoing group with no defined end time.
3. If you are not a member of our Quilt with Us Community yet, click the "Signup and Join" box in the upper-right corner. Once you're a member, you will see a green plus sign and a link to "Join Karen's UFO Quilt Along" in the upper-right of the group page. Clicking on the link will allow you to join this Quilt Along.
4. Post questions, project feedback, and pictures of your progress.

TUFO - means Tuesday UFO - those of us interested try to make a small dent in whatever UFO we are working on. Tuesday is simply the day the Connecting Threads gals get together to sew and craft...you can make it any day you like, but we got a kick out of the title. Once in awhile we can't make it on Tuesday so we move it to Wednesday - yup WUFO. Report here what you are planning to work on, then the next day, let us all know how you did. Nothing is required, it's just for fun.

Well I have a confession to make, I took a break from quilting and sewing (except to hem a pair of pants) and did some scrapbooking today and visited with my sister in law. Spent time up at the hospital with my mother in law and when I have to do that I find it hard to settle back in for sewing. I am better when I can start first thing in the morning and stay at it for a good period of time.

I spent the majority of today finishing the cutting of my fabrics for that quilt kit and then working on piecing the blocks. Being a perfectionist means that I work slowly. I realized this morning that with all of the handwork that I've been doing for the past 18 months that my machine piecing skills had gotten rusty. By the time I stopped for the day I was moving right along and hated to stop. I'm hoping to spend most of the day tomorrow working on it as well.

Good to see you well again Mr. G!

Congrats to those who have finished UFO's.

Hello to everyone. Well, I am back in the saddle as they say. I went to the gym today and had a full workout without losing any strength or having to go down in any weights on my exercises. I feel great. I put the just finished "no longer UFO" on the wall in the library here and it goes perfectly with the wall color. Wow. I didn't even think of that, I just made what was in my mind. It will be a few weeks before I get the pictures printed as I have 24 more pictures to take on the roll. Thanks for being there for me, and being there during my Flu Bug recovery period. Now, my best friend, Pauline, has a cold and sounds like Marlena Dietrich. Oh well, in a close community like I live in, one can expect this to happen. I have a UFO I want to finish so she can put it up in her bedroom. We change wall hangings back and forth. But, I think this one will be good for her. I am going to try to put it to backing and batting and do some quilting on it this evening. Tomorrow is for the Dr and the medicine check. Tonight is for fun. Yay. Mr. G.

Time for my sewing machine to have some maintenence/cleaning. This will a good time to do some handwork that I keep putting off.

Thanks, Marjorie Coler. I started a Christmas table topper. I need to finish that and switch over to tax paper work.

Way to go Rosarita at finishing the top and sending them out to be quilted. Keep up the good work.

Hi Pat - if you need an intervention, then I think most of us will have to be in on it! I just finished cutting out two new quilts and took on the Southern Star BOM as I joined this group! I have to say that I have finished piecing the top for one, so maybe there's hope for me! Barb

I'm going the wrong direction. I'm participating in a Stash Potpie group at LQS (basically a mystery quilt every month to use up stash) Of course I needed to buy extra fabric to go with my stash. Also started a strip quilt with my quilt club. So now I have 2 new quilts started that may take months to finish. Think I need an intervention?
