What this group is about

I don’t know about you, but I have too many things started. Join me in my quest to get finish what I’ve started. The deal is, for every 2 projects I finish, I get to reward myself by starting something new. You can make your own rules, or give the group ideas for new rules as we go. I think it’ll be fun to ask this group for advice on what project to wrap up next, show my progress with photo’s, get motivation from each other when I want to break my own agreement (trust me, I am weak willed when it comes to new projects).

1. No purchase necessary
2. Timeframe: this is an ongoing group with no defined end time.
3. If you are not a member of our Quilt with Us Community yet, click the "Signup and Join" box in the upper-right corner. Once you're a member, you will see a green plus sign and a link to "Join Karen's UFO Quilt Along" in the upper-right of the group page. Clicking on the link will allow you to join this Quilt Along.
4. Post questions, project feedback, and pictures of your progress.

TUFO - means Tuesday UFO - those of us interested try to make a small dent in whatever UFO we are working on. Tuesday is simply the day the Connecting Threads gals get together to sew and craft...you can make it any day you like, but we got a kick out of the title. Once in awhile we can't make it on Tuesday so we move it to Wednesday - yup WUFO. Report here what you are planning to work on, then the next day, let us all know how you did. Nothing is required, it's just for fun.

My package arrived with Riviera! I can't wait to start on this quilt I found in this month's issue of Quilters Magazine

I think I'm out of the loop. What is LQS? Is it online? Karen, you mentioned it in your last comment as did Melinda. A class with Libby Lehman sounds wonderful and well worth the addition of a new UFO!

I know just how you feel, Edith, about being dragged into the 21st century! If I'm gonna finish two of my UFOs I'll have to bite the bullet and hook up my printer.
It started with my husband's phone breaking, so we BOTH needed a new one, even though mine was fine. Then I got a new Bernina ( I know, not exactly a *hardship* ;-D), then my printer died and I had to get a new one of those, and I have a new laptop because my big old Dell dropped dead. It wouldn't be so bad if I could learn how to use one of these things and that would be enough to know how to use all of them! LOL The "before" and "after" photos are a great idea. I'll have to check out your photo album, Cornwoman, to see your definition of "before". Some of my befores are in lots of pieces! : )

Excellant suggestion Karen, I am still a novice at organizing my pics and still have a lot of my finished quilts that are actually photos to scan into my page. but I am learning and am glad to see that I am not the only grannie being dragged into the 21st century by this blog. LOL

I think your suggestion, Karen, is perfect! I've started a photo albumn in my pictures for "before" and "after" pictures. But I think a blog entry with a picture as well as in the discussion Completed UFO's is even better.

QuiltDragon, I suggest everyone post finished pictures under the discussion called completed UFO's, and also within your own blog so everyone can see it. What do you think?

Have we decided where we're going to put the pics of UFOs, then finished projects?

Well, I went to the quilt shop yesterday to get some fabric for a border on one of my UFOs and signed up for 3 classes. A machine applique class and an intermediate and an advanced hand applique class. Of course, the 2 hand applique classes come with small projects so here we go again. In addition, I bought a baby quilt kit so add that to the list since if I don't do that soon the baby will be too old for it. Oh well, I guess I had better get to the sewing room. Have a great day everyone.

Boy do I need this group! I have too many things in various stages of completion! I will be inspired by you all to finish them! Thanks Karen! I am working on customer quilts and two mysteries at the moment but will make a list of things I wish to finish while with this group. Thanks and glad to be here! Hugs, Deb (Quiltbeeme)
