What this group is about

I don’t know about you, but I have too many things started. Join me in my quest to get finish what I’ve started. The deal is, for every 2 projects I finish, I get to reward myself by starting something new. You can make your own rules, or give the group ideas for new rules as we go. I think it’ll be fun to ask this group for advice on what project to wrap up next, show my progress with photo’s, get motivation from each other when I want to break my own agreement (trust me, I am weak willed when it comes to new projects).

1. No purchase necessary
2. Timeframe: this is an ongoing group with no defined end time.
3. If you are not a member of our Quilt with Us Community yet, click the "Signup and Join" box in the upper-right corner. Once you're a member, you will see a green plus sign and a link to "Join Karen's UFO Quilt Along" in the upper-right of the group page. Clicking on the link will allow you to join this Quilt Along.
4. Post questions, project feedback, and pictures of your progress.

TUFO - means Tuesday UFO - those of us interested try to make a small dent in whatever UFO we are working on. Tuesday is simply the day the Connecting Threads gals get together to sew and craft...you can make it any day you like, but we got a kick out of the title. Once in awhile we can't make it on Tuesday so we move it to Wednesday - yup WUFO. Report here what you are planning to work on, then the next day, let us all know how you did. Nothing is required, it's just for fun.

Congrats on the finish, Janet!!!  I have been pulling UFO's also, but sending them to the LAer.  Just can't hand quilt that much anymore.

I finished the wallhanging I referred to on July 24th.  I ended up changing my mind about the thread for the outside border after posting that message and like it much better.  It feels so good to see these fairly small quilts finished & ready to enjoy.

That is so true that it always happens that way lol. The problem is once you get to the quilt store to buy one spool of thread I always seem to find a lot of other stuff! Well, we do need to support our quilt stores.

How is it that you can have a "gabillion" yards of fabric & enough spools of thread that you need multiple boxes to store it in, but when it comes time to finish quilting a wallhanging & adding the binding you don't have the right fabric and/or thread?!  LOL   I am down to quilting the outside border on another wallhanging.  Last night after I went to bed I had the inspiration to use a different fabric for the binding than I originally planned to, but this would also compliment the color of thread I wanted to use to quilt the border.  So I get up this morning & sure enough, I didn't even have enough of the thread to quilt the border!  Oh well, that just justifies another trip to the quilt store on Wed.  Hard job but someone's gotta do it, right?!

Josette....those are beautiful.....your family is so lucky to have received them from you.

Welcome Tea! This is a great group to help you get into finishing those UFO's! Karen has a boot to keep us all in line, although we haven't seen it for while, it's liable to pop up if anyone gets out of line!!!

Thanks for the comments and letting me share!  Yes, I made one for myself, I am holding mine unframed, second in from the left.

They are beautiful! What a nice gift for everyone. I LOVE seeing them finished in the different colors. You did a beautiful job on each of them. They do look so happy in the picture! You did a lot of stitching. Did you make one for yourself too?
