I don’t know about you, but I have too many things started. Join me in my quest to get finish what I’ve started. The deal is, for every 2 projects I finish, I get to reward myself by starting something new. You can make your own rules, or give the group ideas for new rules as we go. I think it’ll be fun to ask this group for advice on what project to wrap up next, show my progress with photo’s, get motivation from each other when I want to break my own agreement (trust me, I am weak willed when it comes to new projects).

TUFO - means Tuesday UFO - those of us interested try to make a small dent in whatever UFO we are working on. Tuesday is simply the day the Connecting Threads gals get together to sew and craft...you can make it any day you like, but we got a kick out of the title. Once in awhile we can't make it on Tuesday so we move it to Wednesday - yup WUFO. Report here what you are planning to work on, then the next day, let us all know how you did. Nothing is required, it's just for fun.

Thank you Donna and Connie. I hope that you are both having a nice day!
I love it Elizabeth! Bright and cheery!
That’s really pretty Elizabeth....congratulations on another finish.
Happy Easter!
I took 2 days with Sue Spargo quite a few years ago. I made a wool applique table rug. Her work has evolved. At that time before my class she had been working with Jan Patek on Primitives. Now she is doing much more embroidery.
The charity I support right now is QOV. I enjoy the people who are part of the organization. I am a volunteer on the kit cutting group. On Tues. we are getting together at the Canadian Legion for a day of cutting.
Thanks Karen. I purchased Sue Spargo's class on Craftsy, but haven't really done more than listen to a couple of the segments. Sadly I have done that with a lot of the classes I have purchased through Craftsy & IQuilt both. Good for you for donating some of your tops. That will benefit both your friend & charity both. While repainting & rearranging my sewing room recently I sat aside 3 cutting mats, some fabric & some orphan blocks that I donated to a local group that makes quilts for people who have lost their homes to fire. The leader of that group came today & was so tickled to get that stuff, but I'm also tickled to find a good home for it.
Nice finish, Janet! I haven't finished any UFO's lately, but I did start a new project, LOL! I took a Sue Spargo class to learn many of her embroidery stitches. We worked on a sampler that will become a needle roll. I really really enjoyed the class.
On the subject of UFO's, last year I cleared several off my list because I had finished tops that I no longer loved. I have a good friend who bought a new-to-her long arm and needed to practice. I gave her several tops to quilt, then donate. She's finished 5 now and I'm going to help her bind them so they can be donated. Feels so good!
I got a new sewing machine to take to sew-ins - a Janome 2030 QDC. It weighs 12 lbs. like my Janome Gem which I traded in.
I also took my Bernina in for servicing so in the meantime I have used my new machine for straight-line quilting and free motion. It isn't a hard machine to learn to use.
Thanks Elizabeth & Vilma. Elizabeth, I too have been burned with some of the swaps or round robins I participated in over the years, but for the most part I have been pretty lucky. I'm not doing any more though because I have so many other quilts I want to make while I'm still able to plus the cost of fabric & postage is just so high that it renders it too expensive.
