Love you redwork minis Nana! They are really cute! I have only done a few minis. I have one I want to frame, two others that I gave to a special friend. My tumbling block mini just lays on top of my chest that I keep extra bedding in, and I am working on a doll quilt that is a replica of an antique dutch doll quilt. I hope to someday have a granddaughter so I will save it for her. I would like to put a collection of traditional minis together to frame for a large wall in my greatroom, but that hasn't happened yet.
Nana what beautiful redworks!! and a very cool way to display them. I am sure the recipients love the ones they received and have them on their walls...
I also have a wall of mini's as well.. A good way to get a couple of mini's you know you will never make is at quilt shows. Many times Ihave gone they either have silent auctions or you can buy so many tickets and then put them in a jar, at the end of a show they have a draw and I have won a couple this way with only a 2dollar purchase!! what a steal!!
I am posting one I made when I did a demo of how to applique mini's it is hand appliqued and hand quilted the pattern is from Mini Quilt mag which is non existant now.

I have mini's on my walls, coffee tables, Ihave a couple of hand made bears from my cousin in Florida and I have a couple with them. I use thematic thumb tacks to put them on the wall and some are butterflies and cups and flowers.. I got them from the Dollar Store they work great!!. I DH also made a couple of hangers that I can slip through the back and then hang on the wall.
How cute! I have never tried hand applique on anything that small. Love the hand quilting on it also.
Sadly, my little quilts are currently awaiting a home on my quilting room wall....that is when the step-daughter moves out and I get my room back! Not sure when that will be but I can't complain too much, she's really trying to get her life together and I figure sacrificing my sewing room is not too much...yet :-)

Since I prefer hand work, I can work just about anywhere too. One wall of the quilting room is designated to display my little quilts so I'll keep working on them and when I'm ready for the display, they'll be ready!
I came across this idea on line. I thought it was a great use for a mini.
