There is a broken link on the main page to get to Part 2.
I found out that you have to sign in. then select JOIN MYSTERY quilt up in the corner and click on print Part 2 in the BODYof the first paragraph. Link did not work for me either.
I'm signed in ~ the link isn't working for me. I will check back later...I still have not even picked out my fabric! Way behind on this one already!
Not sure why it doesn't work for you. I have clicked on both links and the pdf and all worked for me.
Worked fine for me. Maybe it's fixed.
the link is broken because it shows the link address as http://http://... have the webmaster take out one of the http's.
Yes, it's fixed now.
Oh HELP. LOL
I can only do flying gees when I put 2 half-triangles together, which I assume will be okay once I do the math. BUT the pattern tells you to cut all 4 fabrics, but the diagram of the star only shows 3 colors. I'm so confused. Can anyone help us remedial sawthooth quilters?
How many Sawthooth Star Blocks should we wind up with?
They join with fabrics cut in step one.
Link is working now. I need to pull my fabric from stash this afternoon and get cutting...it's tempting to look ahead to part 2 when I haven't even cut nor completed part 1...hoping to get caught up in the next day or so.
So, this is the first time I have every done Flying Geese this way, and I absolutely love it! My blocks came together so quickly. I did mess up on the first one and had to re-cut but after that, it was smooth sailing. I will definitely use this technique again.
I'm really enjoying the mystery quilt and want to thank you especially for giving us the dimensions for every step along the way. I have a better chance of success with the final piecing if I can square up my blocks as I go along. I wish ALL quilt directions gave us this one little detail -- I hate having to figure it out on my own! Thanks again.
