So pretty, QuiltDragon! Love the springtime colors. It's going to be gorgeous!

My block is currently 16" but I'll cut it down to 14 or 14.5". Somewhere I have the dimension all laid out...

Here are a few of my recent block finishes. They'll go on the outside to square it up - the complicated bow is on the right & left centers; the ones where the end of the ribbon is visible go on top & bottom; the loops are various shapes & will fill in. I'm almost done with the ones I'm working on more - just 3 to go. Yay!

handstitcher, it's beautiful. How large is the block.

QuiltDragon, you should post a photo of the finished blocks. I'd love to see them!

Here's photo of my last border block. Didn't have a pattern, so I enlarged a photo of the block from a book on historic BAQs and made my own. This summer I'll prep the center medallion.

handstitcher, I'm also looking forward to seeing the quilt. HaHa. I laid it out once on the floor before the blocks were finished and I'm happy with it. Since we'll be celebrating our 50th on Dec 8, it's also the 25th anniversary of making this quilt! I've promised myself it'll be done by then. I'll be machine quilting it (on my home machine), so that should help.

Can't wait to see your finished top, Quilt Dragon! Always nice when you see the end in sight. I'm mostly hand quilting these days, but have almost finished my current BAQ block. It's my last one of 16 blocks that will surround a medallion. Drafting the medallion is definitely a summer project, although I recall thinking that last year and it never happened....

Hi Annette, I was wondering the same thing! What are you up to in the applique sense? I've been trying to finish up the applique blocks for the outside of the seemingly neverending anniversary quilt. I have 3 more to do including the one I'm working on now, so I think the end's in sight....I hope. As much as I love applique, I'm also getting tired of doing the almost same blocks over & over, just with a different flower.

Hello?  Anybody out there?

You and the rest of us, Barbara.  How did that pile of UFOs happen anyway?  We're in the West Coast, lapping up some Spring weatgerwhile our home is buried in 3 ft of new snow!  Its Its g to be hard to leave the flowers and go back to start again.  I was nearly knocked over when I went to the quilt shops.  Get this: batiks are $22/m here!  I am so glad I have a good stash io fabric and God Bless Connecting Threads.  If it weren't for them, a lot of us wouldn't be quilting anymore.
