I love the idea BJ. And I like the Jan 15th date also - gives us time to get pictures together and something to look forward to.

That sounds wonderful! I am finishing a baby quilt now for our newest grand-daughter.

A quilt show of our own... I love it. I'm taking prednisone which makes me hyper so I am sewing like a mad woman..! My house needs cleaned, no cooking and my DH just watches me zoom around..lol... I have finished several projects, started some new ones, made Christmas presents - pot holders, casserole carriers, miniatures, flannel fuzzy quilts, and now am finishing two tree skirts! I love it! When the prednisone wears off I hope I can still sew - but at least then I might sleep! HA!

I'll start thinking about my January quilt show entries... five of them... how about a deadline of the 15th... and where will we post them?

That sounds like a great idea BJ, I don't have pictures of that many as I've given most of mine away, but I think that would be great fun.

Hmmmm.... just had a thought. What do you think about doing an online group quilt show in January? Perhaps we can each submit 5 of our quilts (does not have to be newly made) by a certain date and then we can all enjoy the wonderful quilt show from the comfort of our computer. I like doing something in January, after the holidays.

Thanks for the pictures Kathy, the quilts are lovely.

Also, thanks to the rest of you for your reports on the quilt show, I love hearing about the shows and the quilts.

Yes, the quilts were awesome this year - my Mom and I both agreed on that. And BJ, the WSQ show is all on CD. They ran out but they can be ordered through their website. I believe they are $8, plus $3 for shipping. Only the featured artist's quilts are not on the CD, I guess. So, how many of you wore your QWU name badge? I wore mine and I had everyone asking if I was working there, everyone said "Hi Suzanne", and I even got to use the vendor line at the concession stand...lol. I told lots of people about QWU and one lady I ate lunch with is very excited to join. We even exchanged e-mail addresses. Funny how you can meet someone for such a short time and find so much in common.

My daughter and I met my sister and sister-in-law for breakfast then went to the Spokane quilt show. I agree with all the comments - the quilts are beautiful. Had to look specifically for one of them made by Sharon Ledbetter of Clarkston and quilted by Tami Drader here in Colfax - #974. Gorgeous quilt but it wasn't the only one. Since I make a lot of log cabin blocks, I found the log cabin quilts that were hanging quite interesting. Looks like there was a class sometime in the past year - The quilt with appliqued flowers in the light centers. Then of course the quilts made by the Buggy Barn ladies who were the featured quilters this year.

Thank you for the great pics from the show, Kathy! WOW! So many wonderful quilts. I was very impressed with the black & white, but some of the applique and art quits - oh my.

Well another quilt show in the books - and it was awesome! I posted an album on my page - appropriately called Quilt Show Spokane 2009 - view the beauties I captured - and this is just a small portion. I walked around with DH carrying my bags..lol snapping pictures as I could get it together. It was a great show.
