I thought it would be a good idea to start listing the various types of paper that people use when they are paper piecing.  Personally I prefer newsprint over anything else.  I bought a case from…Continue

I have a pp site that I really like. It's www.quilterscache.com. There is also a tutorial on paper piecing that you can print out for those of you who have never pp. She has tons of blocks and she tells you which ones can be pp and sizes, etc. Enjoy.

Janet, thank you for this group. I do a lot of paper piecing and love doing it -- hate removing the paper. Use Carol Doak's paper and it does come off pretty easy -- because I have an inkjet, can't use water as the ink runs. Learned that the hard way.

Janet, glad to see you started this group.
I enjoy paper piecing, it the removing the paper that I detest. Discovered awhile back that if I have a small project (such as one where a 1/8" seam allowance works best, or many tiny points) that water-soluble paper works great. Sure beats using a tweezers, stiletto, awl, skewer, etc., to get those tiny pieces out.

I'm not a phanatic but I do enjoy paper piecing and love seeing what others make. I also can always learn a new trick or two. Good idea starting this group.

I was thrilled to log on this morning & see we are already up to 13 members! I hope to see many more as time goes on.

In the discussion area I set up a place where everyone can list the type of paper they prefer to use and places where it can be purchased if they want to list that also. I also set up a discussion where we can list the names and websites of paper piecing designers that we know of.

Also, please don't hesitate to ask for help or to post hints when you have any.

Howdy! I like paperpiecing too! I just joined the Carol Doak yahoo group the other day....sure like the BOM she has started now! I am mulling over what fabrics to choose.....need to go shopping before I make a final decision!!!! ;0) You can't imagine how much that upsets me lol I would sure like to do the mini challenge they just posted.....never done a whole quilt as small as that before (9" including border with at least 4 blocks)!
