Didn't know about Marcia's bout with Lyme's disease. That is a very tough one and rehab takes time. I am sure she is very thankful for her friends who could step up and keep things going. Quilters are family and that's what family does. Her blocks are so exciting and she is quite the artist. I didn't know she had a newsletter. Will check it out. I have always just gone into her blocks. Thanks for the heads up on that. And again, thanks for starting this group.

Welcome to more new members. Judie, I love quilterscache. Marcia & I got to know each other from being members of another online group. Then she joined a sampler group I owned that has been since disbanded. I don't know if you read her newsletters or not but I'm the person who wrote one for her a couple of yrs ago when she was first very sick w/her Lyme Disease problem. She had 4 of us write her weekly newsletters & I wrote the last one before she was able to do them again herself. That was quite an honor & something I really enjoyed doing.

I have a pp site that I really like. It's www.quilterscache.com. There is also a tutorial on paper piecing that you can print out for those of you who have never pp. She has tons of blocks and she tells you which ones can be pp and sizes, etc. Enjoy.

Janet, thank you for this group. I do a lot of paper piecing and love doing it -- hate removing the paper. Use Carol Doak's paper and it does come off pretty easy -- because I have an inkjet, can't use water as the ink runs. Learned that the hard way.

Janet, glad to see you started this group.
I enjoy paper piecing, it the removing the paper that I detest. Discovered awhile back that if I have a small project (such as one where a 1/8" seam allowance works best, or many tiny points) that water-soluble paper works great. Sure beats using a tweezers, stiletto, awl, skewer, etc., to get those tiny pieces out.

I just added a "hints" discussion so please feel free to add any hints that you know that will make it easier for others to paper piece.

I'm not a phanatic but I do enjoy paper piecing and love seeing what others make. I also can always learn a new trick or two. Good idea starting this group.

I was thrilled to log on this morning & see we are already up to 13 members! I hope to see many more as time goes on.

In the discussion area I set up a place where everyone can list the type of paper they prefer to use and places where it can be purchased if they want to list that also. I also set up a discussion where we can list the names and websites of paper piecing designers that we know of.

Also, please don't hesitate to ask for help or to post hints when you have any.
